JASON....

RESULTS???

RESULTS???

RESULTS???

Soon...before the sky starts falling!!!

PS - If 4 plugs were NOT needed, am sure someone would have figured that out years ago considering all of the beneficial trends that do catch on in the rotory community.

Artguy has had his car tuned by Steve Kan with this miracle butt plug in and they both have NOTHING good to say about it.

I am not trying to drag Artguy or Steve into it, just wanted to share some opinions from people that have ACTUALLY used this POS on the car.

You can look for Artguys thread about his car being up and running again for his .02 on the matter.( And there was no direct quote from Steve on the matter, just the fact that he was tuning the car)

About the second paragraph down. And DO NOT start buggering up his thread with BS. Just wanted to share an opinion

Well, no...I have particularly thick skin, and I expect it from you. After reading the first line, I was like alright, so my thinking was incorrect, but that's alright, because I'm sure I'm about to learn something right now (im serious).

Then I read the second sentence, and what can I say...your sarcasm spoiled my enthusiasm in reading what you wrote.

I dunno why it's so HARD for you to simply say what you gotta say but in a nicer way. Give it a shot. It's really not that bad you know.

And thanks for clarifying for me my improper info. I stand correct. See how easy that was??

That's funny, considering that you're far closer to getting a vacation at this point than I am.

excellent post but jim doesnt do what he does to protect people from making a mistake. He does it to feed his ego.
Someone more intelligent probably could have figured out a way to respond to FDNewbie without quoting his entire post.

Dude your way off. He never had the plugs. His trailing wasn't working while he was breaking in the engine. Go back and re-read that thread.

And the difference is? The trailings would be removed, and if it is the little tit that your in love with , well I don't know what to say.

It was obviously a shitty way to even think about trying to tune. So they fixed it the way it is supposed to be. Running on both.

Thanks for the advice, but I can read just fine

<the anti-det device is a hoax. with trailing plugs not firing the car runs like ****. I drove it for two days like that. not only was there a loss of power but there was a loss of overall smoothness in the way the engine performed. It is a waste of your time to even attempt it. Just go to water injection like i did. it lowers intake temps and also is anti detonation. though I dont want to turn this into that discussion....i just wanted to say that I tried it unwittingly and it blew.>

As i said just his .02!

This thread is amusing, to say the least .

Whatever happened to Skip's anti-det device? I have been off of the forum for awhile.

And guys, Jim is actually on pretty good behavior, relatively speaking. Back in '98 when I joined the big list, he was an absolute terror. Grown men ran crying to their mommies on a regular basis

In the last (overly long) thread about this "wonder product", I only made one post. I said that I wouldn't put this in my car if it were free. I would like to take that back, and issue a revised statement:

I wouldn't put this in my car if they paid me to do it.

I don't have this scheme on my machine....we ran the car with no trailing.

we also tuned it mildy while it had NO TRAILING....it just wasnt burning the fuel. Finally we got frusterated and went back to find out what the friggen problem was.

You could use Lake Michigan as a heat sink - and there's still a likely chance that the wankel would overheat.

Jim - any such problems with the LT1? - I didn't think so.

God these threads are great....

If you could read just fine, why did you claim that the butt plugs were installed when they actually were not? Fact is Artguy never had the plugs & proper tuning to begin with to properly test his engine. Your opinion is based on his "speculation" of what he believes how an engine would perform with these plugs installed.

zkeller (sp?) and a few others on the forum have it.

Their responses are in other posts (the last one was locked).

According to SKip there are about 60+~ rx7's with this device.

From what I have heard, the trailing was for a cleaner emission.

ALso, people need to remember that with just about any HP related mod there are adjustments and tuning involved.

Let's wait for Jason's results. It may take some time since this is "new" territory.

And burning more fuel in the engine, not in the exhaust, resulting in more power and better fuel efficiency...

Didn't you just get done saying there were 60+ FDs with this modification in the same post? Exactly how long does it take to get decent data with that many testers?

BTW, guess who posted that dyno sheet on his web site linked with the trailing plug information? For someone who isn't claiming that anyone else will have the same results he did (whatever they were, since we can't tell dick from that dyno sheet), it sure looks like he is.

Jim LaBreck just informed me of the use of one of my animations in conjunction with this product. Mr. Hyde contacted me in April, seeking permission to use it. The request was expressly denied on April 30, 2004, as I did not wish to offer any implicit (or otherwise) endorsement of any product I do not know to work. He refused to permit me to test it, and I was not even informed of the exact nature of the product. Had I known it was a trailing ignition plug, I would not only have refused his use of the animation but offered a good deal of skeptical analysis of the product.

Here is a snippet of the conversation (my final reply):

"Sorry. I can't permit the use until I know first hand that the product works... Rotary Engine Illustrated gets over 1,000 unique visitors daily -- it has been the 1st or second highest ranked "rotary engine" search on Google for about two years and was mentioned in Autoweek magazine and on the Mazda training CD sent to dealers -- if I let you use it, everyone will know where it came from and perceive that as an endorsement."
Mr. Hyde knowingly violated my copyright, which speaks volumes for his credibility.
