How to value your FD
This is an amazing FD right here. Only 11k miles, 1994 Efini. Should go for a good sum

Wonderful price for the buyer and terrible price for everyone else who owns an FD.
What put the buyers off?
The mods? They seem like the base case "reliability" mods, which, may, in any event, actually improve the long term ownership experience (aka "trouble free driving").
The seats make the mileage highly suspect . Was it was a mistake not to upgrade for the pictures?

This one struck me as a decent driver-quality car, but there were a number of issues that said it wasn't particularly well kept over the years. The seat for sure, but also dirty door panels and mats, the strange fading on the passenger-side dash, multiple repainted panels, various dents and paint chips not addressed, broken mirror, etc. At 71K miles we would have thought this was a strong price a couple years ago. I though it might go in the high 30's so maybe it does indicate some softening of the market, at least for cars of this quality.
Well, I mean isn't 236 miles in 9 years normal?!? Most FDs are in pieces in garages, no?
My Type R has no sunroof, leather seats (like Blacky), rear wiper, and the Bose system. It's right there in mileage with this new one (and was in slight better condition), so I'm curious to see how this one goes.

I understand others who really want a perfect pristine car though…but I am not sure if those examples are worth DOUBLE the price of a car like this IMO. That said, 90% percent of the experience is actually driving the car for me…so that will help give insight into my thoughts on the matter.
We can't say the market is softening based on one auction of a car that had less than desirable attributes. Especially when taking into consideration that just last week a 47k mile non-stock CYM set the BAT record on FD's.
yep... I've probably put 300 miles on my FD since 2012.
IMO it was the wheels and I think otherwise this car would had gone for the low 40's. Because in terms of looks, wheels are just as important as a paint job. Meaning they can either make or break a car.
Although bad wheels is an extremely easy remedy, most people are driven by feelings so if they don't automatically 'love it" they aren't going to bid much. Hence this car being a steal.

Well at least you get 94 octane fuel! Here in CA it's 91 octane and $6.14/gal USD. Last weekend I drained out approx. year-old fuel and pumped in about 19 gal of what we call premium here and it was $117 for the fill. The most expensive fuel fill I have ever done in my entire life!
Still a little cheaper here than your fuel though both in cost and quality.

i was just in Portugal and Spain, and their gas was only 2.20 a liter! your roads and air had better be really nice!
(i say that because in California we charge ourselves a big gas tax to fix the roads, but out roads are really bad.)

That's a very empty tank. I think capacity is 65 litres. Haha
BTW. Prices are likely over C$2.60/l for 94 as we now speak.
I have AutoX this weekend (one hour drive).
They recommend a full tank ( to avoid starvation).
I may need to talk to my banker.
