I know it might not seem like a lot, but 5-10yrs is a fair bit. I kick myself for not picking up a Ferrari Testarossa when they were going for 40-50g’s cdn. Now look at the prices! Bloody ridiculous! Alas, it’s not as if I had space to store such a beast. Plus I would want to actually drive it unlike a lot of these typical Ferrari owners. Lol

Regardless,my FD isn’t going anywhere.

I have a mint 95 with 17k miles and I guarantee you it will go for $50K or more. If I were selling it today I would ask $80k.

I would not sell a 1995 for 80k. They would have to give me 100k so I could buy another Fd and make it a three rotor. A low milage 95 to me is a very rare and nice car.

Hope its okay if I post here, getting ready to post my 93 base for sale with some mods and wanted to know a ballpark value since I haven't been active on the fourm/FS pages in the last couple years. Quick rundown:
1993 Rx-7 was VR resprayed CW including engine bay and door jambs. Not the best respray
145K miles about, odometer stopped reading around 133K. Have a message for Michael Gagne about a fix but haven't sent it in yet. Tach flakes out when its above 85* outside
Oil pan leak of course. Was going to go Len Bacon pan but never did.
AC/PS/ABS deleted. Driver airbag deleted with Efini wheel.
Suspension makes some creaks in the front when transferring weight forward and back. Has Tokico shocks and slight lowering springs (unknown brand).
Black interior but Tan carpet, Have a used black carpet that was cut on removal with sale.
Compression in low-mid 90s IIRC, supposedly rebuilt with T2 rotors but cannot confirm. Will do another test before sale. Hot and Cold starts great
Tons of spare stock parts for sequential turbos, cruise, misc. interior and clips, multiple new spark plugs and oil filters, climate control and panel, ACT clutch kit with lots of trans and engine seals BNIB, etc.
Currently on adaptronic modular (OTS map, super rich and could use a tune) in sequential mode, efini y pipe, Blitz SMIC, Poor mans CAI mod, Catless downpipe wrapped for heat, Corksport catback, PLX afr+boost+water temp gauge. Superpro differential bushings.
Sakebomb garage plug wires and SS brake hoses. Atkins shifter rebuild. Rx8 starter. Probably more that I'm forgetting.

Just looking for a little guidance in pricing so I don't lose out, but would like to be fair for buyers. Any insight would be great!

It’s

Pretty cool to see only one FD has sold under $30k on BAT this year based on this chart.

I still can't believe that only went for 26. I think it's because 1) auto, 2) another FD going at the same time and also one going just before it.

Timing of really impacts auctions.

One sold for $82k a few years ago:

https://hypebeast.com/2019/10/1997-a...railer-auction

I used to own a Type-R and can understand it. Despite its front-wheel drive and econobox rental car interior (and fake carbon fiber plastic on 2000 and 2001 models), it is a shockingly great car to drive. Dare I say, probably a more connected car than even the FD.

Drove the snot out of mine for 33k miles (and 4 sets of tires) and spent $0 on repairs.

If you think that’s crazy, don’t check Civic EK9 Type R prices.

The fervor surrounding older Type R models is an order of magnitude higher than the FD (and probably always will be).

I know it's there. It just makes no sense. Just a spiced up model of an economy car.

Good. These cars are meant to be driven. That Supra will probably never see 7,500 miles.

Maybe it is a good thing. I can't even imagine how much replacements parts would cost if our cars even got close that market.

4~5 years ago I was offered three "dismantle only" Mk IV Supras (RHD) for C$1800 (total) I did not have storage and passed the deal on to a friend. Those cars were long ago parted out.

My only souvenir, a Supra Mk IV shift ****.

April 2016, the low point in JDM parts cars values in Vancouver.
