Do either of you guys have a link to the FB for sale post on this one? What state is it in? Can't find that particular car to save my life, though there are lots of other FDs for sale on FB.

Pretty pretty good.

Could have put more effort into the presentation, but it seems like a good price for a nice car.

It went for more than the 93 MB/Tan sold in July with 13k less miles, almost equal the price for a 95 MB/Tan with 41k miles sold in February.

I think that's a good result.

Pettit Racing is selling 1995 on BAT.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1995-mazda-rx-7-8/

Gonna guess it goes for around $40k.

Out of curiousity, why didn't you post your CW on there instead of ebay or craigslist? Not knocking your sales choices, genuinely curious. That was a crazy clean car and would've presented well there.

Probably due to the fees, reserve limit and most likely can’t just cancel the auction if the price is not what you expected.

Yeah I probably should of listed it on BAT, but I was just looking for a quick local sale at the time to purchase another car that came up unexpectedly. It all worked out in the end, but I agree BAT is definitely the place to sell a clean FD.

I'll say 36,500. The mileage, the mods (full exhaust and no emissions) and tan interior may keep the value reasonable. Late model clean FD could otherwise be very expensive. Can't wait to see a low mileage stock 95 on BAT.

Love the year (late model), the new engine and turbos (99s), oh and fikse wheels will never get old

I think the miles on the chassis are too high and it's not the best time of year to sell. I'd say $27k.

This is a really nice car for someone that wants an up=the-middle-of-the-fairway FD with a very few sensible mods that's been very well kept. And the Fikse wheels are probably the best aftermarket wheels for this car. Should break $35,000.

Not looking to blow up the guy's sale on BaT but the passenger side fender has been replaced. I was interested in this car awhile back and spoke with the seller.

At this mileage with those mods, probably not a big deal but feel it should have been noted in the write up.

If you look at photo #54 it can be seen.

Nice driver nonetheless - if it stays reasonable I may be interested.

That’s even more than the 94 MB base with 70k that was sold in April, Fritz you are showing some good faith on this 95 at this time of the year It does have some new stuff like engine and turbos so it should help, and yeah those Fikse look right at home too

Yep the engine, turbos, model year, wheels etc... give this car a big edge or a much higher value. That said I think the MB car was a 29k FD or this one is worth 7500 more in my eyes hehe

Time of year may have a minor affect but to me personally all I consider during the off months is whether the transport truck is driving through snow.

A good deal on this one would be 30k total cost but I don't see that happening on a 95 because of the desire to have a late model FD.

Good info.

It's always something, especially as the miles climb.

What was his selling price when you were interested? Likely the reserve is similar.

He wanted $35k. This was several months back so I am unsure of where he is at with it now.

$57,777. Crack Pipe pricing? Smells like it.

What is everyone's thought on a fair price for a completely stock 93 CYM R1 (including battery cover ) with about 60k miles?

Pros:
Clean Carfax, no accidents, one owner
Original paint on all panels except on rear R1 spoiler

Cons:
Car has been sitting indoors for 10+ years and not properly stored
***All the cons that come from above with engine internals, fuel/oil/water/vacuum rubber hoses, fuel tank/lines, brake lines, suspension bushings, tires, etc.***

Impossible to determine without more info. Does it run etc....?

I'd suggest going to see it in person and making an offer. If the paint is good, interior is clean with no smell, no rust, good glass, good weather stripping, clean underside, original paint/no paint work etc.... It could very well be a 20k rolling FD because it's a CYM. However no way to really value it without seeing it and going over it carefully. May need a gas tank, engine, turbos, all sorts of accessories and be a complete nightmare to restore.

Sounds about right. However the replaced fender may be an indicator of bigger issues. Has the entire car been painted, is it a top shelf paint job or maaco etc...

The buyers of BAT cars are brave considering the final cost can often times be inflated.

More like $35.5k after fees for that 94 MB.

My though on the timing is more time to shop for a better deal before driving weather and no need to rush, but that probably only apply to us midwest folks lol. This will be a fun auction to watch on a Friday afternoon nonetheless.

Yep I understand the MB sold for 35 but IMO it was over bid or was a 29k FD.

This one could easily sell for 40, or be over bid as well. I say the sale will be approx 35 with the over at 40 and under at 30.

I still feel like the best deal on an FD is NOW. Most of the people who've been sitting on the fence will likely end up paying more not less vs whatever FD they can find today. Each day the price moves a little higher as the number of cars dwindle and the demand moves up a notch.

Again I don't get the BAT thing. You pay 5 percent for the privilege of buying an above market FD at an auction. Makes zero sense.

Crowdsourced vetting of the seller and auto seem to be the value proposition. Not everyone is an FD lifer with carnal knowledge. Preselection and feeding frenzy also seem to drive the price up.
