On my touring at least, there are no rear speakers above the bins, so even if you took the Bose snake out or replaced the head unit (as I have, along with shaving the sunroof and rear wiper, and removing the cruise and fog lights), it would still have the pointless little pockets there instead of speakers.

You can swap those pockets for grills and rear speaker brackets, if you so desire.

This was the steal of the year. The market has officially cooled. Last year I'd say this car is worth 20k with a blown motor LOL.

Agreed, market seems to be cooling. Great for those of us on the fence, but unfortunate for those of you that are trying to offload.

Yep

I have room for one so I'll likely be bidding on the next super low mileage variety.

Market might be cooling a bit, but man, presentation sucked on that one. Photos were awful & postage stamp sized. No comp test (as dumb as it is), no driving video, etc.

The economy is sketchy, and trade wars aren't as easy to win as our Commander in Chief so confidently spouted. As a business owner I hate to see this great run slow down or come to an end but I believe we have some rocky times ahead. Maybe this is just a slight dip but we know we are on borrowed time.

Either way I predict this car to go in the 22-25k range, it appears all original and pretty clean underneath which seems to go a long way on BAT.

These two post supports what Fritz said in the first post which is "it difficult to sell a FD for 25k or more". Now there are rare exceptions but those are the exceptions and not the norm.

Wow, that one on bring a trailer listed a few posts ago did sell for less than I'd expected. The market cooling has allowed me to slip into FD ownership again! I plan on keeping both my RX-7 and RX-8 until the day I die.

Perusing the ‘94 BB on tan BaT sale just reaffirmed how much I don’t like the tan in an FD.

Yup, everything can be can be sourced and switched if you are patient enough. It has taken me 2 years or so to source and convert my FD to R1 spec. suede seats, roof skin , headliner and domelight, rear speakers and brackets, rear hatch w/o wiper, cruise delete, dual oil coolers, strut bar, spoilers etc. etc. BTW, strange someone mentioned not knowing that red/black touring existed? I saw a number of them before I bought my current FD, which coincidentally started out as a '93 Red/black touring.

Bad judgment call, seller should've sold it back in the spring. He left a few thousand on the table. Having said that, with 60k+ miles, tan interior and a bad trans syncro, what's it really worth on a good day, $25k?

Yep. I figured about 25k

I didn't notice the bad synchro. So that makes the current sale a little less attractive. The problem with these BAT auctions is you are buying 25 year old FDs sight unseen and paying a premium for the privilege. It's just weird LOL.

I'm still amazed that the 94 mb base with 71k miles sold for 33750.

There'll always be some odd ball sale, that 94 MB base was probably from some FOMO buyer or someone that know what they want and don't care for the price.

The recent BB/tan price seems right to me, don't have a lot of data with cars in this mileage range. Aside from BaT, most sale are on this forum with unconfirmed sale price. 1-2k for that bad synchro and this car will be near the top of this list, aside from that freak 94 MB lol.

Compare to cars with lower mileage, could've beat some of the car sold in 2018 with less mileage without the synchro issue? Who knows, maybe. I'm not seeing any 20k roller here in 2018, unless you are sticking in some spare engine and do all the work yourself, 50k miles car maybe

Compare to cars with 60k+ mileage, hey look that freak MB and adam c's CW at the top of the list lol. Things get milky as the mileage break 60k, not enough data. Looks like it is all depend on color and trim, mileage just goes out the window, and forum listing dominated the list lol.

I'll say 7. This isn't even a parts car LOL

I will say $12k. Its a running FD listed as no reserve. Expected to be cheap so will get a good bit of attention and interest, probably more than the recent nicer cars for that reason. its already got over 2,000 views and 200 watchers, that last black/tan has just over 10k views to now.

I could be wrong, and I expect someone to come in here and call me an idiot but we will see

Yep you are probably right, BAT is a trip. I just sold this one for 12k: https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...-deal-1135991/

Took a month to sell and is twice the car

I've seen crazier things

Edit: Just read through the description and looked at pics. Not as bad as I thought but still not worth 9k.

No ABS (500+)
bad trans (500+)
rust (new hatch 400+)
effed up interior (not that bad but good luck finding a cluster, a combo switch/any switch LOL)
effed up engine bay (not that bad but again, relays etc... are either dead or dying)
broken windshield (300+)
dry rotted tires (400+)
sat storage for 15 years (who knows possibly thousands or gas tank, injectors, fuel filter etc.. are all taken care of)
Engine knock at idle. Engine might be toast (bad bearing etc..) but who knows, again possibly thousands
etc...etc...

If it was super well maintained with great paint etc... then I'd say 15k. Remember it has 175k miles on it. We just saw a 94 BB/tan touring sell for 21750 that was very clean with 61k miles.

If this things sells for anything over 10k the 94 BB/tan touring was a VERY good deal.

I just wanted to add that my car is a 93 base, and the only options it has are cruise control and black leather seats. Unless cruise was standard, but it does not have a rear wiper or spoiler.

right, cruise was standard on everything except the R package cars. Leather was an option on the Base in 1993, for 1994-1995 Leather, CD and Sunroof were the Popular Equipment Package, PEP. Rear Wiper only occurs on the Touring.

the Spoiler only was factory installed on the R package, but it was available as an accessory, so it can be dealer installed
