*engine bay pics*
It is performing like a dream, when I turn the key it starts like a computer hard drive and doesn't give me any back talk under full boost.
The car is also running pretty good, I need to get a ignition amp because I am getting allot of breakup under high boost.

Dirty as hell from the paint job... I'm going to finally finish the car this week, clean it up, and get some new pictures. I have a few days off and it is waaaay overdue. Have to be able to drive it for at least a month or two before I leave.
Rotary Experiment Seven and GoodfellaFD3S worked some real magic on my FDs engine bay
They towed it away looking like this...

And now it looks amazing!

I have a polished front STB that still has to go in, which should really complete the look of the engine bay, and I think when they tear it down again in the next year or so, I'll put up the extra cash to get the TB, UIM and alternator polished.
edit: looking at the second picture, I realize you can see all of the pulleys very clearly now without the SMIC in there. Maybe I should get them painted or something.

Periodically I go and re-read your pages on the CWR install. I prefer the way you installed that SMIC to any intercooler (FMIC, SMIC or VMIC). My dream engine bay is the CWR with BNR stage III twins. Your single turbo with the CWR intercooler is excellent also (taking the time to keep the airpump).
everything looks outstanding and i bet you paid a pretty penny the way you gave it to them.
might want to wash that hood with some degreaser.
whose car is that? That couldn't be my car! hahaThe money is worth it

And I believe it's just soot on the under side of my hood. The insulation was really beat up, so I pulled it out rather than repairing or replacing it, and I haven't washed the car yet.
