Exclamation Turbo Bogging

I Just bought my first RX-7, 1988 with a brand new engine and a stock turbo. Not sure on whats been done to the engine, supposed to be getting paper work soon. But for some reason when i hit about 3700 rpm's the car kind boggs when I'm making boost. Its kind of jerky and then smooths out if i just power through it. It doesn't do this ALL the time just most. I've had the car about 8 hrs and wanted to post this up before i go and get a mechanic to look at it and just TELL me whats wrong for a lot of money. So any advise will be very helpful. Thank you.

Hit the Search button and search the 2nd Gen section for "3800rpm hesitation". You'll find more info than you know what to do with.

Or just read this, since it's usually a grounding issue.

Yea I just found that as well. The thing is that it was working fine for awhile and then all of a sudden started off and on. Is that normal as well?

Well the motor has about 400 miles on it now. I've heard not to use synthetic oil on the of the threads and if i do use only high grade. I prob will get an oil change here today just to see if that helps.

Mine does something like that too, except it's from 3k - 4k. But I don't have my BAC connected, so that's the idea as to whats causing that...

Uh...NO.
BAC valve has nothing to do with it.

D: So you're telling me that even if my BAC is disconnected it won't cause any sort of slight studder/jogging feeling with the car?
