Nope, because the S5 tailights came on all models of the RX-7, not just the TII. It is not a unique performance styling element /that defines the model of car/.

When you see a TII, you know it's a TII because of the hoodscoop. That's what defines that model visually.

Another example, the Ram Air hood of the Pontiac Firehawk. It needs those twin nostrils to feed the high flow air intakes into the V-8. If you like the looks of that Ram Air hood, and stick it on your V-6 Firebird...that's Rice.

You're stealing a unique performance styling element and putting on a car /that can't back it up/. In other words, "All Show, no Go." Rice. It looks fast with the hood...but it isn't fast. Rice.

That's about as clear as I can make it.

Ill stick with my N/A hood, all though im sure the whole element of adding a turbo II hood might add a nice look to it, I see no point unless your running the 13bt and havent moved to a FMIC.

i put the t2 hood on my car because i think it really acents my re amemiya front end. i have had both the na hood and t2 hood on my car, and every one real who has seen my car, not you digital figments of my imagination on my computer, has said that the car rocks with the ts hood. id didnt do it to have a t2 appearence, i did it to match the rest of my car.

I think that it is a nice looking upgrade for a NA and before I did my t2 swap my vert ran hot as hell right where the scoop is now. So hot that it would dry off rain water in that spot before anything else so you can't say that a vent in the top of the hood can't help with the cooling of a na. And it is not rice. Rice would be a shaker hood scoop bolted on to a na.

you assuming though that someone who puts it on his car is doing it purely for show. if you have the fugly 'ram air' nostrils but have them ducted to a aircleaner on top of your 454 you installed, i don't think i'd call that rice...

has anyone actually proved that the t2 hood on an n/a TRULY raises the underhood temps? i have the t2 hood on my vert, and im about to put a thermometer under my hood in various locations, and then put my n/a hood back on and measure the same areas. i cant see the t2 hood raising temps. and if it somehow does, perhaps ill route some air ducts to those areas, but the t2 hood just looks cooler. see?

Just get a TII hood and put a reverse scoop in it, then it is no longer a "TII" hood since it looks different.

I'll be proud of my N/A when I don't have to go threw DEQ, and it has either a bridge or a P port. Other than that I am happy with it, ah hell I'm proud of my N/A, there's more to life than boost.

definition of RICE:

rice (r'is) n. the grain from a plant grown in warm climates. -v.t. press into shreads.

-ric'er, n. a utensil for ricing potatoes, etc.

nope. nothing in websters about t2 hoods on an n/a.

It's a bit ricey if you're not planning to implant a turbo motor in there.

Looks nice, sure, but has no function.

I'd rather have a flat reverse vented hood than a hood scoop.

yes but how many people with T2's need their hood scoop? like 2%? if you put an FMIC you could just as easily be ricin'

id venture to say that if the na allumnimum hood is actually any lighter than the t2 hood, its only by a couple of ounces. it that is too much of a weight difference, then just take a **** before you get in your car to even out the added weight of the scoop
