^ what he said

BUT, if you want to do some more, get yellow PTFE (teflon) tape. You can get it at any hardware store, it comes in the same type of roll as regular teflon tape, but it will seal oil and gasoline unlike the white stuff.

Nice! I'll have to get some of that.... I don't want any oil in my freshly painted engine bay.

What about gooey stuff? How many times would you have to wrap the tape around the fitting? Thanks

I actually wasn't thinking about the banjo bolt areas... I was thinking about the one that screws onto the front cover.... I'm pretty sure that one just uses a crush washer as well....

gooey stuff= gay.

teflon tape is made specifically to seal pipe threads, theres not much thats better, like i say jsut amke sure its the yellow kind. I generally just wrap it around till i get tired of it, try to keep it flat and not all bunched up and maybe go for 3-5 turns or so.... enough that it makes it a little hard to thread in, but not so much that it just pushes it back off the threads

What are your fittings like? If you are using the metric to AN fittings, then they also seal with a crush washer.

In fact, anything I can think of that goes into those holes is sealed with a crush washer.
