Depends on where you get it done, but usually its about $300-500 extra. Also depends on the size of the port.

Not really worth tearing apart your engine just for that though...wait until its time for a rebuild.

From what I see shops in the USA charge the same dollar figure as shops in Canada to get streetporting done. Generally about $275-$400 for 13B.

Yeah I wouldn't mess with porting an engine unless a rebuild is also planned. Putting in old seals and springs after disassembling an engine is a sin!

i blew my motor and got a new 13b put in and i asked the guy how much it would cost for a streetport and he said that he could get it for the same price! So i got it, only have about 1200km on it now and it's going thro gas like a pig. I put in 43L of gas om monday and that lasted until thursday, i got about 240 km out of a "full" tank. Now is that just because it's still breaking in and the fact that it's pretty ******* cold somr days or is it because of my port job?
Can any body out their with a street port tell me how much gas it goes thro so i know what to expect!

horse power and gas consumption are (exotic fuel delivery systems not withstanding) inseperable. I'm hoping to get my enthusiastic driving mileage down below 15mpg.

it's not even broken in yet, and I know your not driving it on the high way to break it in! Stop and go is the best to break in a motor. at about 1k miles it should be ready for some hard core revving. just gradually increase to revs after the first 1K miles.

My street ported 13B NA lost about 10% fuel efficiency.

no big deal.
