Shifter plastic insert….

Hey guys,

im in the middle of redoing my bushings for my shifter. The little halfmoon insert that slots into the shifter rod itself was completely disintegrated.

is there anywhere to buy this insert itself? I have the bushing kit but it doesnt include the insert.

heres a pic of where im referring to. This is on my 87 RX7 NA

Is it not this one? Sorry, didn’t directly give you the solution you wanted but at least it’s a kit with it.

Somewhere I thought I read on here that the '86-'88 didn't have a bushing in the groove. Only the '89-'92 did.

Here's p/n groove bushing: https://www.atkinsrotary.com/90-97-M...01-17-515.html
IIRC, the S4 didn't have a bushing in the End Control Lever p/n M510-17-46Y, but the S5 does.

I replaced the shifter bushings in my '87 GXL a few months back and it did not have (or need) the plastic piece in the groove.
