Does anyone have a 3D scan of the dashboard?

Just throwing this question out there.

I have an 87, and the portion of plastic that the three screws that go though the dash cluster shoud screw into inside the dash is completly gone and shattered.

Just seeing if anyone has a complete scan of this area. I have a cheaper 3D scanner, but I need to pull the entire dash out of the car and drag into my basement to get a scan of what I have as the only computer powerfull enough to work the software is there, and I am doing it to make a repair piece.

if you can wait a little bit, I'll be pulling my gauges out and can scan that area for you. IT's a 91, but I can't imagine it would be overly different.

If you are able to, it would be a godsend.

I got some ASA so it can deal with summer internal temps, but to try to make a repair because the entire upper half is gone, and having anything to start with would be nice so I dont have to build from scratch and hope my scanner can get detail

Looking to get a scan of all the structure under this area on the dash, take the cluster out and all that black plastic.

@Trueno102 if you hear anything, having that made of metal might end up being an upgrade too, please let me know

Was able to finally remove my dashboard from my car and get it to my game PC to do a scan. Pics from the creality scanning app, using a CR-Scan Ferret

I need to sleep, but will be trying to replace the white bit on the top, I think I made it far too thin, and this scanner seems to be a ton more accurate then my previous one, so might be able to make something that blends into the stock plastic frame better. I do need to figure something for it to bond to the top lip of the dash too though, you can see that it is falling apart and only the surround is holding it in place.

I still haven't taken my dash apart yet, but I haven't forgotten. If the car would stop running so good I'd get a chance to tear into it....

3d scanning did not go well being all black. I'll have it apart at least once more, so maybe I can try again, but as a consolation prize have these:

I have been without the upper part for so long I had no idea it even remotely looked like that. Thought it extended several inches backwards as well. I see now how the skin of the dash also bonds to it, so I might need to make some changes to my design to glue it in place and hold that upper skin down more too now. Thank you for those pictures ♥

I try to use dry spray shampoo to dust up black and shiny surfaces when I do mine. It cleans up well when done.

This is my PLA prototype I made last night to check for fit, am planning on pushing some metal inserts so I can use some M4 or M5 machine screws to pull it tight and if it works will be making one out of PETG or ASA later, as this wont last an hour in the summer sun.

yeah, I use the aerosol foot powder spray, but as much as I want to help, I don't want to clean up all the residue from my interior. I may be able to put some stickers on it to get a better scan.

Life has been interfering. My temp repair is holding for now, the bits are misaligned but its not falling off completely right now. Will have to wait until I have some time again.
