AWS (cold start assist system).Read the cap on it.It tells you what to put in it.

The cap is blank and my car hate's cold starts that is probably why sometimes it won't start in the morning without some starting fluid.

To clarify, it is not the AWS system.

The reservoir is part of the "sub zero assist system" which is designed to spray a little bit of "sub zero start fluid" (rich mixture of ethylene glycol and water) into the intake manifold for whatever reason Mazda thought this was necessary. Long the dealers were issued a TSB to remove the system as it never worked. Just remove the reservoir and cap the nipple on the intake.

The AWS system consists of the AWS solenoid valve and BAC and is responsible for the 3K startup when the engine is cold.

I never knew dealers were issued a TSB to remove the system; did dealers ever actually remove any of them though?
