The ABS box shouldn't be in the way.

NA or turbo engine? Why wont the upper intake come off anyway?

First off, which of the cars in your .sig does this apply to?

You don't need to remove the ABS to pull the motor. You will have to remove the upper intake manifold, though - the lower can stay bolted to the block. You need to remove the upper intake manifold to unplug the harness - that's the easiest method I've found.

Yes, the ABS pump is in the way, but it's possible - I've been there and done that .

nope. do a search for engine removal write-up, it'll tell you everything you need to do.

Why is the upper intake not coming off make sure you have All the bolts out and i do mean all the first time i took an engine out it took forever because there were bolts i was missing but experience and 6 blocks later its like clockwork and half the stuff you think you need to take off can stay on the block i really cant elaborate what can stay and what cant but youll see just hope you wont do it as many times as i have in the short amount of time i have...

I leave the entire intake manifold on during my R&R's. I've done 5 of them, there's no need to take off the intakes. Its WAY easier when the engine is out.

Again, follow the write-up. It will save you tons of time.

yeah, why remove the intake to remove?

Oh, if you don't remove the wiring at the ECU, then yeah, you'd have to.
