My wife gave me her '87 base AT after it died on her, just a year before we got married. So I guess it was free. After I killed the tranny in it, I got an '87 sport for $900. It needed/still needs alot of work, but I'm having fun.

$650 for my 89 n/a. Ran good and the interior had all the pieces. Didn't have a stright body panel on it. A friend does body work out of of his shop. 1200 + 500 for two doors and a rocker panel and it looked new till some asshat ran his bumper down the side. Insurance co totaled it for 2500 and I got to keep the car. 2000 more to the buddy and it looks like new again.

well i got mine for $500 because it needs a rebuild, but the body is in pretty good shape except for some paint fade and minor fender damage. I wouldn't say that's a pile of ****, it still looks nice, and will drive awesome once i get the engine rebuilt.

The guy I bought mine from didn't know anything about cars. It idled @ 4K and he took it to a local shop that wanted $1200 to "reset the fuel injection". He told me when I bought it that he had put a new transmission in it and it needed a $ 120 window switch. I took 10 minutes to adjust the throttle cable and spray the linkage with WD-40 and it idled @ 750 RPM. For a 15 year old sports car w/217K on the odometer it wasn't a POS-just needed some TLC. And it has paid off. I have had it for two years and 23K miles and it runs well. There are a lot of cars out there like this-some one wants a sports car or something unique and doesn't know squat about it or cars in general and will sell them cheap just to get out from under their problem. You just have to keep your eyes open and sometimes luck helps!!

'91 NA Brave Blue Metallic- $6000 (in 1995)
'90 GXL Black- $800-sold it for $800
'90 GXL White (current)- $2800

Guy was asking $3500 for it, but he needed to move to Texas and couldn't transport it. All original, one owner, and I popped it 2 weeks ago. TII swap in progress.

i got my 88 GXL for $3250, crashed it, got $1600 from the insurance company, sold it for $500

then i got my 89 GTU for $2500, motor blew 2 days later, got a $1000 refund...

several thousand dollars later i do believe i have the strongest running seven on the planet!!

my only regret is not swapping the diffs out before i sold the GXL...

$3,450 he was asking i think $3,800, it's an '88 GTU, bought it with 40k miles on it, nothing wrong with the car at all, interior was godly clean and car was garaged for 15 years, now after a year i've put 40k more miles on it and driver's side is clean but my damn friends can't keep there **** from spilling so carpet is stained on passager side with garlic butter. as soon as i blow her it'll be time for a 20B i can't wait. there's a picture of her doing what she was built to do.

So i was driving down the street past a tow yard when i saw her sitting up in the front with a for sale sign on it.

Went in and had to interupt him from working on a cherry Bel-Air.
Me-" So how much you want for it?"
Him-" what the gremlin up front?" (points at the 7)
Me- "Uhh... yes sir..."
him- "$500"
Me- "Wow whats wrong with it"
Him- "It sounds like the damn' thing threw a rod!"
Me- "oh damn can i take a look?"
Him- " hell go fer it but i pissed on the tire earlier so watch it"
(this is no kidding)

So i go look at it, it is an 87' SE N/A,
Red, front fender dented, and part of the passenger side door has a dent,
interior looks like it is good condition, minus the rip in the seat, & the ho-hos melting in the hatch(the box was faded they had been there so long!).

so i pop the hood and look at it. then yell
"THIS AIN'T NO DAMN GREMLIN! MY DOG HAS EATEN BIGGER PILES OF **** THAN THIS ENGINE!"
He comes out laughing.

"Yeah,
its pretty much a gremlin. you know them damn chinnese. Always trin to mimic us."

"I said well I suppose i will give you 200 for it. he said well it will have to be 350 soes i can tow it to your house."

So he tows it to the house while I go to the auto parts store to get some accel wires, plugs, fuel filter, and stuff for an oil change.

go to the house do a partial tune up and it has been running strong since!

Rednecks are so GREAT!
