very nice very clean 88 GTU with blown motor was 500
for another ~750 it was rebuilt by yours truly, ported (block and TB + TB mod), and then I, being the professional that I am, used a bad oil cooler line. It took about 30 miles for that oil cooler line to blow up and that car is just about ready for yet another rebuilt engine LoL
Then I bought a beautiful, running 88 GXL for 1800 and it was just screaming to be modded.
Those are the two most recent additions to the family.

I sold my last 3 TurboIIs for 8k, 10k, and 12k. This is within the last two years, not all FCs are worthless.

2 years ago I bought my vert for $4,500 and the body had 90k and the motor had 26k, it was in great shape. It also had all the papers from everything ever done to it since it was new, even the dealer papers. I think I got a good deal, the only thing that has broke to this day was the OMP, I am very happy with my buy to say the least.

i got my 1986 GXL with 50 miles on the rebuilt engine, new radiator, new water pump, etc, and bad tranny for $850(almost perfect interior), with another 850 to rebuild tranny, so $1700, and i still have only like 800 miles on the rebuilds.
p.s. the prev. owner had a $3000+ receit for the rebuild of the eng. and etc.

I picked up my 86 base for 700 bucks, and drove it home.

I've put 10K in it since then. OUCH!

First RX7 - 13 years ago I traded an ailing 1990 Ford Escort GT for and ailing 87 Base model. Probably worth $1500. Spent $400 and had a good running car.

Second RX7 - In 1995 paid $5800 for a 1988 GTU with 54,000 original miles. Still have it today with 113,000 miles and a fresh engine in it.

Third RX7 - 5 years ago bought a non running 87 TII for $700. Stripped it and sold about $500 worth of parts. Gave the engine/trans to a friend for his rotary miata project. Still have it as my racecar project.

In 1987, I paid $2500 for a yellow '79 5 speed with 70k miles. That one I sold for $100 after the 2nd motor ceised at 193k miles.
Bought another '79 in 1991 for $800. That one went to the junk yard after the engine cought on fire a year later.
Bought a '91 vert in 1995 for $15000 with 72k miles on it. On it's 3rd engine with 293k miles, I ran into a truck and ended up selling it for $500.
Now I have a VW, but miss my RX7s.
