Back in April, and bless its now dead soul, My 94 thunderbird blew its 3rd automatic trans. after 4 days of griping i bought a 93 saturn. That lil car was a laugh....front wheel drive and another failing automatic trans. After i continued my search for a more reliable vehicle I stumbled upon a primered car in front of someones home while cruising in the pos saturn. TUrns out it was a 1988 Mazda RX-7. To my joy it did run, had the pre-requisite 5-speed and the owner only wanted a grand for it. It had some problems, aka the taillight lenses were toast, it had biffed a gaurd rail, and a cracked windshield. I talked the previous owner down to $800 and I am now the very proud 4th and last owner of that very Rotary. What I didnt know when i bought it though....Not only did i get the car and the 760watt amp in the back, but i also got the original motor the second owner had blown, and a replacement 1989 13b N/A to use as the grounds for a rebuild. You say BS. I say I got wheels that wont die yet.

i found my 86 SE in the paper for cars for sale i wasnt really looking for a car at the time but i saw this rx7 in the paper for sale for 1,200 and i tought it was a bike . so i talked to the owner and he set me straight . and told me it was a car so i check out the car it was like love at first sight.i thought to myself "hay i need a project car" so i talked him down to 500 and i asked if anyone else was interested in the car? he said no and that he was moving soon so he had to sell asap! then he droped the price to 800.then i go to start the car.....lol it didnt start! i told him you want me to pay 800 for something that dont run? then i talked him to 650. he took that as the final price . i get the title and paper work done with him i got back to the car and figure what was making it not run.i look all over the car has fuel... has spark..changed battery right there .tired to fire it up nothing... looked under drivers side dash....i saw like 3 connectors not connected so i plug them up to see if that was cause it not to fire up .i try to start it again and BOOM it started! the seller heard it and came outside and said OMG you get her going again lol...... i said ITS ALIVE MUHAHAHA. ad said dam its blowing a lot of smoke white smoke .... it was the oil from sitting in the engine for so long.. i smiled like i won the lotto that day. i was just shocked i got a car to run i know nothing about .and got the joy to take it home running HAHA

S5 90, 2500 - Newly Atkins with a plethora of other mods
S4 86, 400 - Not running, probably bad motor. Took out the light switch and seats. Will probably build back up though.

87' GXL 350 smackers!

87' GXL. White Coupe. Blue interior. Cracked radio surround. Completely straight body, and completely covered in mold. Bought two for 600 from this old lady in Portland, TN. Sold one for 250. So I paid 350 for this assy 7. Looked like ****, didn't run, took it home and drained the 5 octane gas that had been sitting for 7 years, filled it up with premium. Pulled out the plugs, squirted a little bit of trans fluid. BAM! started on 2nd try. Its like that. I'm 17 and I researched on this here forum before I bought em'. THANKS RX7CLUB GUYS!! Now I have a freeakin awesome first car.

Traded a 83 CR125R for a 87 n/a with weber dcoe 48 carb, act 6 puck clutch, racing beat road race header, ignition system, ect ect and all of it was new! I was so happy becuase the guy just didnt want it any more and wanted something fun. The best part was he lives right down the block from me and it was an easy trade.

Dude was asking $2200 got him to drop it to $1600
Bought my first (n/a) in 1988 for $23K . Would still be driving it except for an idiot who was more interested in his conversation than what color the traffic lights were.

Replaced that one in 1995 (after the wreck) with a mint '87 TII with 75Kmi. Paid $5200 cash and am - today - putting a set of Tokico HPs on it. Just turned over 200Kmi (engine has never been opened) last Thursday and I still LOVE this car.
