Holy cow.

So, I'm just sitting my car admiring how clean the interior is... I am flicking around checking if everything works... To my surprise, I found out that the motorized mirrors work! After that, my clock turns on!!! and then! I found out my Sunroof motor works! Out of no where! How in the hell did Mirrors turn on everything?!

Well here's my question...

How can I get the sunroof to open? The motor works, I push up on the sunroof to see if the motor that is suppose to lift it up is working, nothing... I hear it working, just don't know what the problem is...

Any help?

Take off the headliner, disassemble the track assembly, clean it really well, and re-lube it.

not 100% on this but isnt the sunroof pulled by the motor with a cable or something along those lines if so maybe that cable or something along those lines is no longer connected to the sunroof idk worth a shot

Mine did the same in my old GTU. I got it working, set the time, it worked for a couple days then every time I started the car it would go to 1 and start over. After a little while it quit working all together and I liked it that way. I used my cd player for the time.

Clock is intermittent most probably. It needs to be re-soldered...

bah let them search... as for the sunroof, if one side lifts completely and the other doesnt you may have a broken cable, dissassemble it as stated above^

Stuff working then not working then working again: Weak solder joint, something needs to be resoldered. For anything in the middle of the dash it's logicon (search forums for more info).

Battery drain: Get a multimeter. Set it to amps. Remove the negative battery cable. Stick one end of the multimeter on the battery cable and the other end on the battery post. Do you measure current? Something is draining the battery. Keep pulling fuses (under the steering wheel) until the drain goes away. The name of the fuse that fixes the problem will tell you where the drain is.

only reason im posting this is that some ppl do it haha make sure the car is off when you use the multimeter on the batt cause it will blow a fuse

heh my clock holds time, but i have to smack the dash on top of it sometimes to read it, needs resoldered i guess, dunno... and my sunroof, yea, I have to use a finger push the button and use the rest of my hand to push up on it at the same time, or just push the button for a second then push up the panel then push the button again, I took it all apart like 2 times still can't get it to work... just tempermental crap with the old car...
