Exclamation incredibly sensative stearing response

Holy ****
I was going 65-70 going onto an off ramp today, a ramp i always take to work and know exactly how fast i can go and when my tires will screech, and holy **** i got the living **** scared outa me today
When i turned in the car turned so hard i almost lost control and then i noticed my stearing was incredilbly sensative when i turned my stearing wheel even the slightest it turned very hard i kept almost losing control. Then i slowed down. But man it scared the **** outa me. Oh yeah i intslled indiglo gauges the other night and just before i hit this on ramp i noticed my speedometer like stoped working, so i suspect its that that cable in back of my speedometer is disconected. Do you guys think this the problem?? Also when i arrived at work i noticed that suddenly the stearing got really tight like as if i had no power stearing?? WTF??

check ur fluid. maybe your pump is acting up too

my steering RACK has a clunk in it and causes too lenient steering.

Without the speedo working the speed sensitive steering will run on the default max boost mode. As far as the power steering computer is concerned you are not moving. Max power steering boost occurs from 0-10 MPH.

The power steering gets its speed signal from the working speedo.

yep just plugging it back in will solve it on all the GXL, T2, Verts, and the series 4 cars w/ power steering.
