thats all good and well, but for example what would grounding the tranny help? what would you ground to help you idle? i need the effects side

www.google.com is your friend. You need to read into how a 12V electrical system works.
Your idle is not effected unless your getting pore grounds on the coils or something weird is going on with the BACV on a TII
The general hesitation and idle issues are due to a corroded or bad factory ground. So give these attention. For server hesitations and miss fires see ^. If you have a problem fix the factory grounds and you can add more if you don’t have a problem grounding everything wont matter.

dude i will get flamed from some dumb ***, but what you are doing is creating a path for static electricty to go, the path of least resistents(sorry spelling sucks) so it doen't matter were you put grounds out side of the electric circuits, but if you do go inside circuits, get a wiring diagram and have a little knowledge of electronics and you will be fine just look for gound wires and you will find a bunch, just make sure were you put the ground doesn't put the static discharge back into circuits cause thats when problems occur, but by removing the stray voltage you will get better preforming circuits, thats why they say to do it, hope that helps

DREYKO, if you search the 2nd Gen forum for ground* (include the asterisk) you will find dozens of threads on grounding. It's been discussed several times just in the last month.

esd electrostatic discharge, is common to every thing, and by grounding you will disapate this some what in electronics, cars produce huge amounts by going through air, and by putting bigger ground wires you give that energy someplace to go, if they are placed outside of circuits, but if you place ground inside circuits the volts will go to the closest gound, maybe creating a short or something of the like, and if you want a good example, sometimes when get out of your car, you get shocked, thats what iam talking about

Umm no that’s not why you get shocked. You personally as people do moving around and such get positively charged with static electricity. B/c the chassis is grounded - to the battory you are positively charge and you release this charge when you touch the car.

trying give quick example, and no you will never completly ground out a system unless it is physically put into earth, hince the term ground, but it will help with esd and keep stray voltages from the electronics, which would make them perform better with less chance of breakdown. if you replace factory grounds due to breaks in connectors or corrorsion then yes you will see a huge differnce because again current will go to the path of least resistance
