Grounding kits are B.S. They are only for cars that are old and the grounds are corroded. Check out www.rotaryresurrection.com, he shows how to re-do the grounds.

If the factory grounds are working why try to fix them?

Efficiency. Mazda and Ford both used poor grounding practices from the factory...you'll be suprised what propper grounds will fix.

Well if they are not proper they would not be working now would they :-)

It is proven if the grounds are in good condition and working there is nothing wrong with the factory FC grounds. But then again just sticking grounds everywhere does nothing. Properly placing them as you stated will help patch a pore or faulty system. A properly functioning system will see no benefits.

Do a 60k tuneup and check all electrical specs such as water thermo sensor, and TPS

Exactly! Cleaning and or fixing your poorly taken care of factory grounds should fix this. Just sticking grounds on everything is just patching a worn out system and not specifying that there is an issue with a properly cleaned factory ground. Unless the wires are bad simply cleaning the ground contacts of the factory will fix the issue.

Not every factory ground can be easily traced or determined as a specific fault. There's many unbiased sources available online, some including actual changes on a dyno, that demonstrate the benefits of linking all the major hard components to the negative terminal. Linking the tranny, block, head, and chassis, as well as replacing the easily accessed engine bay and body ground straps, with quality wiring and crimps smoothed out my engine across the tach, virtually eliminated electronic noise picked up by the ECU, anti-theft system, and stereo in my Supra...it also looked pretty cool with my spiffy new blue wiring spidered across the engine bay...lol.

~edit...one terminal without reinforcing the other makes the whole process moot. You should also replace as much of your posative system as you can.

If you'd searched, you would've found last week's discussion on this. And the other hundred or so threads...
