Fuel pump issues

So I have an aftermarket 340lph fuel pump that seems to not want to communicate with the car properly. I can Crank it over it starts the dies out. Now I can jump the pressure test plug and get the car to run and stay running but I'm getting to much fuel it seems maybe due to fuel pressure. Just wondering how to fix this problem so I can go back to factory fuel pressure

N/a or t2? S4 or s5? Going off your name i'm gonna guess a 10thAE . Do you have the MAF hooked up? Will not stay running if its unhooked, or not sitting flat, or has a sticky flapper (heh)

Do you have a aftermarket FPR? If not, your gonna need one being thats not a stock replacement fuel pump

Ok sounds good so basically I have to run 12 volts constantly to fuel pump and run an aftermarket adjustable fpr cause I don't have maf or afm or downgrade to 250lph fd fuel pump

Do you have the PFC set up correctly for the ID 2000s? What is the base fuel pressure set to? Has the car ran properly with this set up before?

K so I think I found my problem. but not sure what went wrong. so when I got the pfc installed they didn't hook up the cor wire so I had the fuel tester jumped everything was running great and what not then all of a sudden. Thing started flooding it self bad like up into my intake and leaking through my lower Intake gasket actually none of the wires were hooked up except speed sensor I hope hooking g these up will fix it. But I just don't get why it would run great then just mess off
