Proper way to replace fog light bulb ?
Searched but couldn't find any images. 89 vert with factory fogs that don't light up. Fuse is fine and I think the relay is fine.
I tried to figure out how to remove them to replace the bulbs but I couldn't for the life of me. I loosened some screws and moves a little but won't budge.
Any ideas ? Pictures would help me thanks guys.

If the relay was working properly the Red/Black wire would have power when the fog light switch is depressed.
If the fog light switch was good then when depressed the Red/White wire at the fog relay would have power.
If the fuse was good then the Red/Yellow wire at the relay would have constant power.
The relay is located in front of the radiator and to the right of the headlight relay and dimmer relay.

Why don't you see if the electrical side works before worrying about the lights themselves. If you jumper voltage from the battery to the R/B wire of the relay then the lights would turn on and you would know if the bulbs were good or not.
It's been a couple or four years since I replaced mine, s, I may not remember exactly right. The lights come out after removing 2 screws, I believe both at the inner corners, and they're not easy to see or get at (and may be rusty, even on a never-winter driven car like mine). Then, the fog lamp comes out forward, rotating it on the outer edge. I don't think you can get at the bulb from under the car with the undertray removed, but I'm not sure on that.

there are 2 bolts that mount the light to the bumper, and they aren't to easy to see, but you can remove them (10mm), and then the light comes out, and you can change the bulb.

I checked the wires and its getting power at the switch.
Removed two screws on the inner side and pivoted it outwards and viola out she came. Was pretty easy and all along I was playing with the wrong screw lol.
Ended up the bulbs were bad. Filaments were toast. Ordered bulbs off eBay in yellow since they are 24$ a piece here for whites.
Now to play the waiting game ...

Also what's the requirement for the DRLs to come on ?
Sometimes the fogs come on with the key to the run position but sometimes I have to put it in gear for them to turn on.

Does your car have the additional auxiliary fan or not?

Foglight switch. I realized they were the DRLs and I guess the DRLs are run by the CPU. Now I'm wondering what criteria needs to be met so the DRLs come on. Like I said in a previous post they sometimes come on with the key to the run position but now they sometimes come on when I start moving.
And to your last question I seem lost, what auxiliary fan ?
