FPD on an S5

Im almost sure this has been covered, but i cant seem to find an answer to my particular question. If the PD is internally inside the primary fuel rail an an S5 what happenes when it goes bad? i know on the S4's it dumps raw gas on the the exhaust manifold or engine or both, but in the case of the S5 what goes wrong. and another quick question, what are the usual symptoms of leaking fuel injectors? i think one of them may be leaking into the engine when it sits for a while, because ive checked numrous times when i smelled a little gas when starting my car up and i see nothing, looked under the car, under the hood by the fuel rail and on both sides of the engine, i basically looked over the whole car and i cant find any gas leaks. i never really smell gas when i drive, just a little exhust and only sometimes. thanks

A S5 PD that is bad, dumps fuel out onto the engine and manifolds just like a S4 one. The S5 PD is not internal to the fuel rail, but rather welded to it.

Fuel leaking into the engine says bad or dirty injectors.

FPD mod??? I am assuming you mean replacing the PD with a Banjo Bolt??? If so, please read the posts above yours in this thread. The S5 PD can not be replaced with a bolt, as the PD is welded onto the Fuel rail on S5 and S6 models.

There is no "pour in" that works very well for dirty injectors. If they are at the point of leaking, they need to be replaced or removed and professionally cleaned.
