Seat Belts???

I was just curious would anyone know a reason why my should seat belts don't retract front or back. Could it be a fuse or something? They jsut stay in the back position which is a pain. Let me know.

The automatic belts were one of the dumbest ideas to come from the auto industry and the NTSB.

Mine broke, got fixed under warranty, broke again, got fixed under the recall, then broke again.
I unplugged the controller under the glove box & locked them in the rear position.
Now I either put it on manually, or leave it connected & slide under it while getting in.

BTW: It is CRITICAL to have the lap belt on.

The sholder belt alone will cause serious/fatal internal injuries in a head-on, unless you also have the lap belt on.

The only thing I'd like to add is that even if the recall has been performed on your car, they still have to replace them again. If your local dealer gives you a hard time and doesn't agree to perform the work, inform them you will be calling Mazda USA Customer Service. If that doesn't change their mind, then go call Mazda USA at 1-800-222-5500. That will get their attention.
