Please Guys!
I started off this Thread For INFO on the conversion..
NOT to have it taken over with FOR SALE Ads!
Members have taken their time to Read up on the Conversion and added their Prospective and Input on How to do so..(thanks,Lads.)
You wanna Sell stuff?,there is a Section for that.
Please respect the Fact that this Section is for the good of Helping Fellow enthusiasts.
So I kindly ask that you Refrain from any Selling OR arguing about Parts Being SOLD.
Start your own Thread and let the Chips fly there. Not here.
Thanks .STYX!~

I have little knowledge of the UIM/LIM S5/S6 thing, but I thought of one thing which I bet you did 10 years ago, and found undoable.
Get 4 pipes same size as the UIM pipes, cut the UIM @ its highest point (the bend) and @ the throttle body, and make some welding magic like making a exhaust manifold? And ofc make all the nipples and so that are @ those 15cm that will be cut away.

in a few weeks I will be going back to the dyno to get a baseline number, I am going to be using a different dyno but the same person doing the tuning who did it before.
I am swapping to a FD UIM and throttle body, going the porting route to get them to mate, only other mods will be cleaning up the intercooler piping because of the different elbow/throttle body set up.
Then back to the dyno to clean the tune up, should provide good data.
Then re-tuning for E85 with no other changes, car will have 2 maps

my tuner wants to try with what I have now, which is 780s and 1680s, if im maxed out I will swap injectors. Im only shooting for 440hp or so
the FD intake is more so I can hide the bac under the manifold, also because I have had my current set up for a while now and want something different, if it gives me a performance improvement so be it

Drill FC3S91's bolt holes a bit bigger and do a slight port match.
Look at my Avatar,,that is an s4 Lower with an FD upper...I had a couple lowers and accidentally went with the s4!!!(it was the best looking and I wasn't the wiser!).BUT it worked!

anyone else want the file? the format is not supported to upload onto the fourm so i can email it to you and you can use solid edge viewer to at least open and view the print, but you will need solid edge or someother cad program to really get in depth, a machine shop how ever can open and run the file no problem.
btw my print is free..just because i can
edit, if anyone knows how to post a dft on here i can just put the print up here.

heres mine, pic one is just a general shot of it, pic 2 is the fd side with gasket on it, pic 3 is the fc side with gasket side. as you can see just the 2 center bolt holes need the most work, the outers where just a sliver difference.
sorry for the dark pics.

BAC questions regarding this modification
Time to bump this up.
I just finished carefully reading through all 15 pages of this thread. Excellent thread regarding doing this modificaiton.
Anyway, there were a couple questions that I share that a poster asked earlier in this thread, but I could find no real answer. Cut and paste:
2)The FD UIM has no BAC, nor does the FD TB have a thermowax device? Should I just cap the coolant line on top of the rear iron that used to go to the FC TB and the one on the back of the water pump? Is my idle going to suck without the BAC and thermowax or does the FD TB handle warmup differently?
3)Similarly the FD UIM has no air bypass solenoid valve or air supply valve. I don't have either PS or AC but does it even matter with the FD TB?
I'd very much appreciate definitive response as to anyone's experience regarding these concerns.
For instance, I assume the FD BAC can be used since I'm running a Haltech P1000. But is the BAC even necessary with my Haltech?
