"If I had a nickel everytime..."

To the OP...

STOP
WASTING
OUR
TIME.

Get something tangible that you can hold in your hand before proposing a concept.

TALK IS CHEAP.

You're just inviting attacks and nay-sayers who you do **** like this.

look we all have ideas, i want to do a farfetched radiator mod that few see potential in, sure i might make it, but it will most likely be costly,

stop wastering your ******* time defending your self and start molding, and implementing, i myself am looking for a body kit worth a damn because all the
fc kits are ugly, you have a great concept so just run with it.

and RETed is always negative so take hes shananagins with a grain of salt.

Try it. You will not succeed I can garantee you that but you'll get better.

Edit: Guess that mean I'm laying down 20 bucks too. How much is the pot up to?

Even if this does happen, you'll loose your *** on it. You will never be able to sell enough of these (let alone any of them) to recover your cost.
99.99999999999999999999999% of FC owners are WAY TO CHEAP.

hehe, how many forums users have to throw **** to get four pages of ****?!
Im so tired of people telling others that they cant do it. Making CF isnt rocket sicense and if it was, and even rocket sicense isnt magic...... If you first got the molds then CF is just the next step after glasfiber.. Ship the molds to me when you`re finnished and ill bake the CF in our autoclave

Then get off your butt and start. I think there should be a time limit on the prototype so that it doesn't get strung out and he keeps claiming that it's in progress to avoid paying out on the bets.

How about 1 year from today at least have a prototype, 2 years to have the first production one?

It's not that it's impossibly difficult that's why nobody thinks it'll get done, it's because it'll cost so much and take up so much time. Prepreg CF is expensive.

FC's are cheap cars, so naturally the owners tend to be cheap too.

FCs are cheap, thats why i got one.
am i going keep it cheap? no.
it just means i can put my money somewhere else, and make it look and perform much better than a more expensive car, for the same price.
now i am aware that many of you are cheap.
but i am POSITIVE there are FC owners out there who really would throw down 4000$ to have something that looks like a supercar.

immediatly after i drop my engine back in, i'm going to get a junked rx7, for just the body. with that body, i plan on spraying a hardening adhesive foam, and carving it out. Then i will lay fiberglass with supporting frames over all of the pieces, take them off, and i will have all the necissary molds required. I only threw in the words "carbon fiber" because i happen to love it. It doesn't mean that's what i'm limited too, or that its even what i'll make my prototype out of.

btw, i am counting the money you're all betting against me.

if you think i'm wrong, than you're just not thinking hard enough, or at all.

Completely wrong.

The F1's monocoque is not built entirely of Carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) as you claim. The chassis is a CFRP-over-aluminum-honeycomb space-frame with nomex used on fire panels. This process is impossible to replicate at home. CFRP-honeycomb laminates in no way resemble CFRP body panels in form or function.

So, no, the F1 is not made out of carbon fiber. Thats about as true as telling people your RX-7 is made entirely out of aluminum because thats what your intake manifolds are made out of.

You haven't got a hope or a clue, but to cliche: ignorance is bliss.

i dont have a hope or clue huh?

why dont you actually sit here and tell me every flaw in my plan so that way i can learn from you, ohh mighty car god.

and by flaw, i dont mean my thought process

i mean the actual design i have out there.

why in the hell dont you think i can do it?!!?

its just not that hard.. its very TIME CONSUMING... not TOO particularly difficult..

Uh oh, mad I pointed out you DON'T know what you're talking about?

Where do you want me to start? How about where you stated your kit was going to improve the aerodynamics, because everything I saw in your picture made the car much worse. You HAVE studied fluid mechanics, right?

I don't think you can do it because you don't have:
1. the knowledge
2. the experience
3. the equipment
4. the money
5. any sense of reality

If you really want me to walk you through this, I can.

wow this thread is getting out of control....

if you dont have something worth saying, dont waste a ******* post. im sick of having to read through constant pages of bullshit to get to something interesting. your all acting like a bunch of immature highschool girls. and it shouldnt take an 18yr old to point that out to you.

Chaotic FC - im with you on this project. a CF kit styled the way skatingsamurai had drawn would be amazing. i recommend building the kit, but with only the hood in CF. hell even if it wasnt CF it would be an awsome kit, and you would get a lot more buyers if the cost was down some.

but honostly just close the thread and start a new one when the project has started. that way the flamers will shut up and people will actually be helpful.

hey, just stop posting. Start working and just prove everyone wrong. We have thrown all the negative things at you so you can expect them while you begin the work.

My 20bux still stand. Just stop being defensive, take the advice (the problems brought up) apply them/look out for them and just get to work.

lets sum this whole thing up.
page 1) "i have an idea, what do you guys think?"
pages 2-5) "not gunna happen, this is a forum and im going to win an online argument"
"winning an online argument is like drag racing a civic, even if you win, youre still retarded"
with that said, i kinda liked the 2nd sketch, its like the veilside fortuna but for the fc.
i just want to see a dope *** TRUE widebody (not no 30mm fenders called widebody) (and also not some lame *** 100mm fenders that ***** the lines of the fc) ::cough cough rx-heaven cough cough::
I WANT TO SEE FLIP UPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
im not alone on this am i?
and, ignore the nay-sayers, ignore the 90% ******** on this board, and just do it, if only for your one-off-custom creation that will drop jaws. re-amemiya did it, you can too.
i seem to recall carrol shelby taking an MGB midget and making a classic american icon, aka the AC Cobra.

peace
