hm, i dont know if you know how to properly draw vehicles, but from an engineering standpoint (no, im not one) try drawing a stock fc, then add on from there. could come up with something insane.

+1 on stock tails.

I think either FD headlights as suggested would be neat, or, finding a set of pop ups off a different car altogether that may maintain a little more of the stock body lines. Like perhaps a 240 (litte more square) or something.

EDIT: also, the front bumper/mouth has an NSX feel to me.

Or take the easy way out. Snap a digital picture of the ortho views, then put overhead paper over top of the printed picture. Draw with Vis-a-vee markers. Scan, and then photoshop. Even include diminsions if you're so bold.

If you're really savvy, design it in a CAD program. Would make CNC'ing the mold/prototype all the easier. Inventor, 3DSmax, Maya, Blender, DAZ, etc. I like inventor perosonally. Makes G-code and M-code easier to deal with. Hope you have connections.

there are. I don't know where but I've downloaded most of them. I'll find them at home.

Top view to see how wide the front looks?

The only problem will be the doors. The front and rear will be so wide that the middle will look odd. A narrower front that flares to really wide rear might make it look more like a porsche and not so weird.

Look into the mariah widebody and see if a door add-on will help with the flow.

Looks better, you have to keep tweaking it tho.
In the end you should have something like this:

then there are the elite few that own FCs, have modified whatever it is that they wanted and are looking for things to waste money on.

Poor isn't the first thing that comes to mind. I'd go with CHEAP.

I second that motion, and to generalize is to be stupid and idiotic. I'm not sure what poor is so when you are making an assumption put numbers behind it. Not everyone has the same budget or have the same goals. I know more people with FC's that have more mods done than people that have FD's and i don't think at all that those FC owners are poor if anything if some of you are going to generalize then poor people are just getting FD's. Most FD owners get the FD for looks and show. I have my FD for about 7 years and i love it. I have replaced the engine 2 times and the third time i did a turbo swap. Does that make me poor too? I just love rotaries and been hooked since i drove my first 85 GS. So do many other people. Many don't want to do mods to it and just like them the way the are, or have done what they want to it and are happy with the way they are.

I would like a copy of the models if they're available--don't want to incringe on others work or anything like that. But trying to model a 13B is a pain (theoretical ports etc). Really, I'd just want the engine. But i'm a greedy SOB, you are more than welcome to ignore me about it too. But I may end up PM'ing you about it later down the line.

those are some real nice drawings, i would love to be able to concentrate for that long.. lol
i may be able to draw, but they are only for concept, i really just want to build the damn thing.
however, those 3d models would make things wonderful
could you post maya, 3dsmax, and the inventor files?
i happen to have all 3 and wouldn't mind trying it in each to see what i like more.
thanks a lot!

nope, I can't. Like I said, they're files I've found online while killing time. I don't have the appropriate software so I didn't bother downloading those type of files.

yeh, the entire body stays about the same width, it tapers slightly near the door and then flares out again. kinda like this:

all carbon fiber construction
and thats just the selling price
its not costing me that much at all..

Flush headlights would def be the direction to go in, but just stick with 2 like FD.

As for aero, I'm not going to try and re-hash what others have already pointed out, but if you really want aero, you should re-work the front bumper to incorporate a smaller opening and more movement of the air around the body instead of "into" it where it's just hitting and not being used.

I really like the placement of the rear diffuser, it looks nice.

i really like that last sketch.

I like how you can still tell that it is an fc and i think that is very important.

i would keep the s5 (i think) tail lights and let the doors open normally.

I think you should definitely make a prototype for your car i would love to see it.

As far as selling it im not so sure you are trying to sell to the right crowd, as i spent $1900 for mine and really don't plan on putting too much money into it.

Although seeing the real kit could change my mind!
