Quick Question.

Ok when I bought my 87 rx7, the dealership tested compression for free and they said it was 7.5 on both rotors. That is with a mazda tester. I recently read that mid 7's to low 8's with a mazda digital tester is like 105-110 is this true??

Someone told me that was **** and I should be in the 100's for a healthy FC....Now Im just really worried I got ripped of with the engine in my car... But maybe its compression with the mazda tester.. Im so confused man.. LOL

The Mazda tester reads in kg/cm2. The conversion to psi is 1 kg/cm2 = 14.22334 psi. So the original 7.5 would equal about 106 psi.

I didn't know if it was in bars just saying that would sound right. Thanks C. Ludwig for clearing it up. Those crazy japanese testers.
