93 FD with a hot start - No start issue.

Hot engine will not re-start.

Runs flawlessly, except that the engine will not re-start when the engine is hot. It will start normally when the engine is cold and works through the warm-up well then settles into the hot idle. However, when the engine is shut off .... the hot engine will not re-start.

One suggestion that I have is that the engine is too lean to re-fire.... 15 - 16.5 AFR when cranking over. Lots of fuel pressure.

The car is a GT35 single turbo with 1600 and 550 injectors and a Power FC. The engine is essentially brand new from Pettit.

Going to have a compression test done. Also looking for tuner tips on how to richen the mixture for restart. Or a base tune to troubleshoot with.

Any help would be appreciated!

Have you done a sensor check on the commander? Barring something being shaded that shouldn't be, I think I would do a compression test before doing anything else.

I have not checked anything with the commander... I will have to research it further. I do know that the issue is the same with both Power FC ECU's I have.

I'm scared it's a compression issue. Nothing would surprise me about this car the way the past 3 months have gone. Just a waste.
