Before I start my new motor
I was just wondering what needs to be done before I attempt to crank the motor for the first time (assuming everything has been assembled, and fluids filled). Thanks,

Haven't we ALL heard this
Atkins Rotary told me not to do that. Crank the engine over with out it trying to fire. Not sure the logic. Drop them an email. I am sure they have a qualified reason.

Before Starting
Good Luck starting your engine. I just installed an Atkins Rotary myself. I only have 150 miles on the new, but it runs well, and I am trying to work out some kinks.
Other than what you listed, there is nothing really that I can think of that I did. Make sure the timing, etc has been done, and that your battery has a good charge to turn it over.
I followed the advice of Atkins and did not crank with the fuse pulled. Everything went fine with that. I would do what the warranter requests.

Five year warrenty? Are you serrious?
Got an email back from Atkins on why they say that....
"James,
Every builder does things a little different. We prime the oil pump and have
lube in the bearings so priming is not needed.
Kathy"
