backseat on a vert...!

I'm wondering if anybody knows or has anybody ever installed a backseat on a vert. I wonder If it would take a lot of floor modding.

Somebody with a red convertible in Columbia was telling me there were back seats for the vert but they were ridiculously small. It was lick sitting on the beam behind back seats and there was no foot room. I would say buy a different car if you need back seats. How about a BMW convertible.

Bolts right in... But I am unsure as to the usefulness with the top down.. Not quit a perfect fit but it will go in.

The rear seats from a coupe won't bolt in. The entire structure is different. Where are you getting this seat info from???

RX7+back seat=

Why would you buy this beautiful piece of machinery and then defile its weight charicteristics by pitting a useless back seat in it? Just my .02 though.

There is NOT enough space in a convertible with the top mechanism in place. You'd need custom fabrication. If you take the mechanism out, there will still not be enough space to sit people back there since it's still an RX7.

You can hardly fit people in the backseats of a coupe FC. It would be even worse in a vert.

I think the only reason "rear seats" in the vert might be nice is for a little more storage space...especially if you like to take the targa section off.

you have to cut off the verts extra support sheetmetal on the subframe wall thing and then it'll fit, i've seen the coupe seat in a vert before

looks like just as big a waste of money as the other guy that was asking about rear seats, there is absolutely no leg room whatsoever not even enough to stick a 5 year old back there,

maybe you should get a rear seat from a chevy s10 and mount only 1 of them just like the s10. So that way the single person will have good leg room.

I was just wondering if it could be done. I have a 90 vert sitting on 19s , intake and full custom dual exhaust, its my baby. I also have a wife and two kids and my wife always bitch about me not having a car with a back seat. I just thought if I could put it in there properly, she wouldn't have anything else to say about it. I'll just probably get a beater car to drive when I need to go out with the kids by myself.

i once carried a friend of mine in my vert in the back, there was no seat and nothing left in the back ( i had removed all the interer and removed the spare tire, even still they didnt hardly fit back there, no leg room at all, if they wanted some it ment moving the seats up and that left no leg room for the people in the front.
It took less then 10 mins before they wanted out of the car. we tried putting the top down..no way at all he could get in then
in the end he rode back with his legs crossed and he was laying on them
and thats with out the seat..i couldnt imagane the lack of space if you stuck a seat in
