Anyone Shave their...

...door handles. Has this been done to an FC? I think it would look very clean and smooth.

Any pix? Comments? What kit did you use?

Personally I think being able to open the doors is too important to be left to an electrical device. It would make a flat battery a whole lot more inconvenient...

Well at least you're planning to do this to a hatch back, you can always crawl in if the solenoids fail.

I think it's a good idea. Plus, most kits come with an extra thing that you can use in case your battery does die. I'm actually thinking about doing this myself, because my drivers side door handle is coming off, and I think it would be a good excuse to do something like this.

I know a guy with an impale, everything is shaved off, and he leaves his hood popped so he can get to the battery if it wont open

It is illegal to have shaved door handles in my town. They kinda don't want you to die in a fire when you wreck your car. It is really hard for the fire men to get you out fast when they can't even open the car doors.

alot of door poppers have a manual, key actuated pop as well, to prevent said dead battery problems.

I think it'd look nice. Fit well with the smooth, straight edges and shape on the FC.

Shaved door handles, too me, are just too gimmicky.
What looks VERY cool on these cars however, is shaving the freakin beltline around the car. I have seen a couple with that done, and WOW. It always tooke me a minute to look at the car and try to figure out what the hell looks so different, yet subtle about it, and its the beltline. It makes the car look SOOO much better, smoother, rounder, and modern. Even the S5's have colour keyed mouldings, which still look dumb.
