Choose the Best option for my swap..
Well this is the deal... i got a 89 Rx7... NA Auto...
i want to go turbo... wat is the best way to go...
i thought i would swap to 5 speed first
then to turbo..
but should i do it all at once?
iam told the 5 speed NA tranny is not sufficient for the Tii engine....
so whats the best option?

Why do a na tranny swap to just take it out and use a completely different t2 tranny the next day. I guess you have never done a swap. Its not easy. The easier way is to get rid of the drivetrain and worry about the electronics before you will ever have to worry about the tranny. And if you want a step by step instuctions for both go to Rotary Ressurection.com

Yeah, don't listen to scott. He got all his posts from the lounge.
If you're absolutely hard set on going turbo, I recommend buying the tII drivetrain(tranny/driveshaft/diff/halfshafts) and 5spd swap stuff first. Install it all and make sure it runs right. Your car will be really heavy, but that's ok, you're going turbo anyway. Do the motorswap after that. Doing it all at once is going to make your trouble shooting that much more of a pain in the ***. And trust me, there WILL be trouble shooting. So long as there's no rush, what's the hurry? Do it slowly and do it right. Good luck.

To do this correctly, you'll need the S5 T2 engine, ECU, wiring harness, transmission, differential, driveshaft, axles (and associated auto:manual conversion parts). On top of the basic parts you need theres A LOT of little things which you'll spend on as well as a huge amount of time to make sure its all done properly.
