88 na doesnt spark!

Any one know a good way to test for power to the coils?

Or any common reason that it wouldnt be sparking?

I tested the resistance of the CAS, and it checked out.

thanks!

You can buy an inexpensive multimeter for $20-30. They are easy to use and handy to have. Put the black probe on a ground and red to the wires of the coils. With ignition on, one of the wires should show 12 volts.

I did that, and both coils are getting power. I know the coils are good, so I think its something to do with how the coils get the signal for when to spark.

But I dont know what or how to test anything else!

thanks for the reply!

When you go to start with the key and the engine is turning over, look for the tach needle to make small movements. If it does, then you have spark.

The tach is definitely not moving at all! Thanks

Any clue as to what would cause that?
