I was at advanced one day getting the right size belt for my car and we were outside under the hood and a guy pulls up next to me and says "even this camaro could do that" (responding to a big diesel truck trying to do a burnout)

I look at the guy blankly and turn back to my rx7.

I find it wierd anyone can look at a engine bay like Aaroncake, and think they know more about car's than him lol :P

 

@arron....wow people really dont know about ball bearing turbos..and how they are water cooled more than oil cooled lol....ball bearing are used because they have less friction im so done lol

Aaron's hair? Its longgggg. I saw it back on his Youtube video when he was explaining the 6 port turbo project car.

we talk for a few minutes never mentioning the engine just cosmetic.

he starts walking away and gets in front of the car. Spots that molded "mazda" symbol by the ftp lights and says " oh it's a mazda I thought it was a camaro"........ by the way I have the rear moldings they're black and my car is red I thought he noticed that.

 

mine are...is it fwd?

emissions guy asks how many cylinders it is...it doesnt have cylinders..okay so its a 4 or 6?...dumbass

lol My insurance agent for AAA, when he was setting up my policy, was like "crap..it doesn't have a rotary option on here...we need to change that.." he went ahead and put it as 4 cylinders just to have something on record

It honestly happens all the time. Especially at car shows, where I am sitting there with the hood opening and explaining to someone how to calculate intake runner lenghts. Then, some crazy who has been listening all along, pipes up and tells me some "fact" about how the rotary works, which is inevitably wrong. I just don't understand how someone can look at the car that I built and then think that they have to explain it to me.

This Honda kid came over to see how my t2 swap was coming along. He looks in my engine bay which is pretty much all put togeher at this point.

Him- where's the turbo? On my friends Honda it's right there( Pointing to the top left, right above my turbo..)

Me- Ummm right there.(Pointing at the alternator, all hooked up with the belt on and everything.)

Him- Ooo I don't know how I missed it!

Me and my friend bust out laughing. "Thats the ******* alternator dumbass!"

Him-Mannn **** you guys, my friends hatch will blow this things doors off!

Made my night! haha

Got one for you,

today my cousin calls me, and I told him that I got myself an RX7 FC.
(He works at a car and engine repair shop, and he already explained me
correctly how a rotary engine works, so at least he knows the basics)

He was like: "Oh no, dont tell me that you got such a ****" ...

Followed by a few arguments why rotary engines are supposed to be "****".
According to him the engines were blowing up all the time because of apex seal failure ...
Well we all know this is true in a certain relation. Told him that they blow up when the owner
does not care for his car. (Regular maintenance etc ...)

Then the best part came: Yeah with those rotarys you need a shift buzzer because
you wont hear the engine anymore when its revving high ...

Me: Of course, did you ever drive a rotary before ? Well IF you are revving high and you
are not able to hear the engine then YOU need to call your doctor.

Funny as hell.
People always think they know all about our cars and in real they did never drove one.
Well it seems that he hates rotary engines ... It can t be helped
Ohh .. Wait, i will give him a ride in my FC which he will not forget haha

My car is NA and I will soon get a RB true dual system ... Perhaps he then will be able to hear the engine revving ...

I already got a JDM license plate and yellow fog lights. They are waiting to get
