Just picked up #517 with 23000 KM.

Couldnt pass on the deal and I have no idea what im going to do with it. Most likely use it for NA mock up and eventually build the engine,

It would be cool to install a 20B in a Mazda 626 from the early '80s.

You will find the number stamped on the front rotor housing.
Lets gather some info here on run numbers etc.
It will be either a number or a letter followed by a number.
My number is 454

I'm coming in 6th so far with #352, one of the super-early Pre-A code ones.

Might be a crazy idea, but wouldn't it be sweet to find out exactly when our engines were built?

Anyone else wanna know when their 20b came about? Lemme know and I'll find it. A paypal donation would be nice too, maybe $1 each?

I did a bit of digging and found out when my 20b's donor Cosmo was built: April 13, 1990. Yes, it was built on FRIDAY THE 13TH!!!

I remember that day. It's when I became aware that Friday the 13th wasn't just something you see on Warner Bros cartoons.

What can you tell me about 20B #756? Hey I'm sure I've saved you more than a buck with all the advice I've given out freely over the years. When did the Cosmo I wish I owned begin life?

Not sure if I've read your posts Jeff20b, but I'm sure you've contributed a ton nonetheless. Anyway, #756 was built on May 11, 1990 (a Gemini) and was a 20B Type-E like mine, with GPS and LSD. Both of our donor cars had the Car Control System too (it was optional for 20b Type-E cars). Your exterior code is CG (mine is UT, two tone with Brilliant Black) and we both have the interior code JA0 (Tan) with all leather seats too (exclusive to the Type-E and Type-ECCS). The exterior code's actual color and name can be found through Spies-Hecker on their color finder site www.shcolor.info

There's some other info in the build sheet, but it'll take me some time to decipher the nonji (what happens when windows doesn't have the proper language pack)

There's a video on youtube of a Cosmo with tan interior and the Car Control System, it'll give you an idea of what it was like.
