Exclamation Oil pump help!!!!!!!

i know that the 20B has the same oil pump as the 13B which is the worst thing that mazda has ever done. My question is do they sell an aftermarket oil pump set up or is drysump the best way to go? i know that mazdatrix sells an aftermarket front kit for a drysump but that alone is $3500 not including anything else. i was wondering if anybody has made a front kit for cheaper. I know that with the stock oil pump pushing over 7-9,000RPM the stock oil pump starts failing on a sickly built 20B pushing high boost. Any info or any answers will be greatly appreciated

Maxdatrix sells other oil pumps as well : http://www.mazdatrix.com/boil3.htm

So does Atkins : http://www.atkinsrotary.com/store/home.php?cat=649

I considered a dry sump...until I saw the cost.

Sorry, so you're wanting a aftermarket higher flow pump that fits in the stock pumps place.

They may very well exist, but I don't recall seeing one.

You might try the sites search function, sometimes you can find what you're looking for.

The only upgrades that I'm aware of are dry sump set-ups. I've never seen higher flowing factory style units that fit in the stock location. If your not running your engine at sustained high rpms on a regular bases, then simple oil mods will be fine if it's a street car.

This is a really nice 3 rotor project with lots of pics. What your looking for will be in this thread here. I too am considering purchasing this engineered front cover for my 20b later on. I don't think it's too expensive either.
