I have sad news to share. Chris has passed away. He was found in his apartment in Tribeca. An autopsy will be performed to detemine the cause of death.

Funeral arrangements should be made in the near future. With his family's consent, I will post the time and location of the services.
It's not a joke guys. I found out yesterday. I just spoke to Chris late tuesday night, we would talk on the phone almost every day.

John, please PM me your cell number. Thanks.

My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

I never met him but like many on this forum and the few on this board who have preceeded him, after following his and their epic builds over the last few years and reading much of his and their other info they shared with this community, I felt like I knew them.

Deepest condolences to his family and friends. It's amazing how your heart can sink getting information like this about someone you've never met. Chris will be missed.

I don't know how to react to this news...I just like Rich and many other talked to him on a regular basis via phone conversations and just had a 30 min talk Re: CCW wheels on June 1st at 4:45pm. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and please keep me informed of funeral details (you can pm if you wish). This is truly depressing news...

!!!!!!!!!

Let me know when the family-fund is up and running. I know we (the forum members) are good about setting up some time of donation or a little something for the family.

Recently Chris and I took a trip out to Gordon's place in PA with his 20B, and the car was insanely fast, sounded so beautiful. at 10 psi it was the fastest car I've been in, and so torquey.

It wanted to rev past 8000 rpm, I know Chris was really looking forward to bringing it up to 9k, he also was stoked because he had swapped out rear A/Rs from a 1.15 to a 1.0 and had gained a lot of boost response.

I'm glad we took the time to do that, I'd be kicking myself right now if I turned him down......I want to somehow be involved with the completion of his project, it's close to being done. RIP buddy

I'd have a heart attack if there were years of work spend on my FD and I finally finished it.

I don't blame him for having a heart attack, if you had a 20B FD and worked on it for years and finished it, you'd have one too.

Jokes aside - However he passed it's sad to see someone leave early, I wish him the best and his family as well.

I simply am stunned and very saddened. I spent much time on the phone with Chris discussing the trials and tribulations of our 20B builds. What a nice caring guy. Just can't believe it.

What an immeasurable loss. Let this tragedy serve as a lesson to all of us that life is fleeting and uncertain. Chris' time on earth has ended and so has his opportunity to interact and experience no matter what anyone does from this point forward. One can only wonder what Chris had in store for the future.... Life is short, utilize your time on earth to impact those around you and take nothing for granted.

Really sad news. I spoke with him several times this week, the last time being Tuesday night on instant messenger. He was talking to me about the boost controller in his Pectel Ecu. Just last weekend we were hanging out at my house. He stopped by to pick up a turbine housing I had machined for him. We chatted a bit and he rode my pocket bike around the neighborhood. Didn't expect something like this would happen. Chris was renting some storage space at our new garage. I spent most of today gathering up his belongings. Was a depressing experience. Though maybe too smart for his own good, Chris was a truly great guy. He will be missed. Rich and I are going to speak with his parents and make sure his car goes to a good place. I'd hate for some idiot to get a hold of it and ruin all the hard work Chris put in. I helped him drop in that motor. Hope you're in a better place buddy.

Wow, stunning. I have never met the guy but it sounds like he was a great guy. RIP Chris. He looks too young to have died? Does anyone know what happened?

Chris used to call me every weekday at around 8am when he walked to work....it was great to talk FDs with him first thing in the morning. It's just now starting to sink in that I won't be chatting with him any more......still can't believe this happened, it seems so sudden and without reason.
