CMonakar Mandeville 20B GT42R Project
I myself never new who he was until the sad news from the 3rd gen threads(thanks Goodfella)and it just gave me chills and brought tears to my eyes that I still cant get rid of.After reading many pages and spending over an hour reading I actually felt as if I had become friends with him and ready to hear any advice he had to give.
Although Im in South Jersey,I will do everything I can to attend services although I have to be at work, even if I just show up,be there 10 minutes and leave.
Chris, sir, thank you for your short time on this earth and thank you for making many people happy, knowledgeable and grateful to have you as a friend. You didnt stop making friends after your passing, you have just gained one and youre missed already.
May you rest in peace and please leave room for us up there at rotorheaven.
God Bless you bud...............

Chris...
We'll miss you around the Farrell Household. I have a barke fluid stain on my garage floor to remind me of your thoughtfulness and how you froze your *** off, but refused to leave until you helped your friend out. You're a kind person and, that was just your way. You will be missed.....

I never knew or spoke with Chris; however, I logged on to today to find Rich's post in the 3rd gen section. After reading through this thread I realized what a big part he played in so many people's lives. I wish I had had the opportunity to know you Chris. Rest in peace brother!

Guys, this thread had gotten over 7,000 views in less than a week. Pretty amazing.
Gordon, you know I'm in. "The Chris Carlisi Memorial BBQ and Cruise" has a nice ring to it.

I am in as well for the memorial BBQ and Cruise...the 7000 views is pretty amazing! It goes to show you how many lives he has touched in some way shape or form. I know I already miss his name coming up on my caller ID and thinking to myself "oh lord" as every phone conversation was always an adventure. We would talk about anything and everything from Bjork music videos, FD's, Top Gear episodes, Delano in Miami, and into Real estate law, life and women. There will always be a spot for you in my heart buddy and I know your in a better place now. See you on the flip-side wrinkle ;-).
RIP Chris. This is terrible to hear... I know a lot of us older guys remember how cool and helpful Chris was. Never got the opportunity to meet him in person, though I may has well have. Haven't been on the forum much lately, and I especially hate coming back to this.

How can words express the sadness of the passing of a quality human being when theres so few! May the pain of the loss turn into the joy of knowing him and celebrating his life. RIP.
OMG! I am floored. I was off the boards for a few days and come back and see this. I only new Chris through the forum and exchanging PM's. He had a great sense of humor! And I am left speechless at this loss. It really gives perpective about reaching out to those you love and your friends. Watch over us man! RIP.
I don't think people unless close should speculate on these kinds of things but I guess human nature is to be curious. I don't even know Chris, have never spoken to him but I think all this sucks. How long has it been that it has been Dave, Blake and Chris?
On his obituary it makes reference to his Diabetes something which alot of people don't think of but depending on type can be very serious. I hope for all those close to the deceased that in time they find closure.

So he was diabetic? I had a type 1 diabetic friend from high school found dead in his apartment a couple years ago and my father's first wife (also type 1) died alone in her place. As a type 1 myself, it just makes sense to never live alone for safety sake.. R.I.P. Chris.

Guys, just to clear up any confusion:
Chris passed away due to apparent complications from his diabetes (he was a type 1 diagnosed at age 7), along with a chance accident that led to his falling in his bathroom in such a way that he asphyxiated while in a coma.
He passed away at a very young age, with so many great things to come in his life, not the least of which was roadracing his 20B, something he really looked forward to. He also wanted to marry his longtime sweetheart Marisa, and was on his way to becoming a force in the financial world. This was a horrible accident, and tremendous tragedy. I know I won't recover from it anytime soon.
I hope this serves to answer some questions....mike, john, ihor, gordon, feel free to add anything.
Btw, Ihor, thanks for posting that pic. It was taken in April of 2007 when Chris lived in Charlotte NC, Ihor and I drove through a torrential downpour to visit Chris and see his apartment and office building where he worked for DB. Definitely happier times......
