The car is being stored in a 'bat cave' of sorts. It runs like a raped ape up to 8000 rpms, which is where chris had stopped tuning when the tragedy happened.
Kinda weird, I had a dream last night about being in his old apartment in Tribeca......

The car is for sale. I believe his father is looking for around $40k, but please don't quote me on it. I can tell you with absolute certainty that Chris spent in excess of $100,000 in parts and fabrication costs on the car, this doesnt include all of his labor of course. PM me if you'd like his Dad's contact info.

I can confirm the amount of money Chris spent on the car. We had many phone call conversations comparing our bills and outcomes. His car is definitely done to a high quality standard.
I don't mean to be bringing this back from the dead, but I just wanted to send my condolences out to the famiy, friends, and community that has lost a great person. I'm not on the forums much anymore, so I'm out of the loop, but I wanted to pay my respects. RIP Chris.

Your post is timely as Gordon Monson just had the "Chris Carlisi" memorial event again this weekend. Chris' car is now in the capable hands of one Ray Crowe from Malloy Mazda who has promised to bring it back to the event each year.

I've been thinking of bumping this thread back up and I'm glad it's still active
Ray is the perfect owner for Chris' car, and he's been in contact with G and myself about future plans for it.
While it was at IRP, i had the chance to become more familiar with Chris' build. Every time I drove it, I had thoughts of buying the car...... the drivetrain is that good. I never realized how special the Mandeville 20B was until getting some seat time. Kinda like piloting an attack helicopter on wheels

Hey guys,
I haven't been on here actively in quite a while(Sold my FB a few years ago), but I was so impressed by this car that I had to track down it's build thread. While I'm saddened by the passing of the original owner, I am very happy to say that the car is doing very well! We had it at our shop today for some dyno work, and with the owner's permission, I was able to get a small clip of it before we finished up! To say the car sounds amazing would be an understatement!!!

Boy this hits close to home...
Eagerly reading this thread for the first time....so engaged....hypnotized by the attention to detail...this guy is awesome...then it hits me. Like a ton of bricks.
He is an inspiration to me. He is an inspiration to us all. He is an inspiration to me to conquer my diabetes.

What an incredible build. I couldn't believe the original owner died after completing it and had so little time with his car. How very sad. It seems like he was a staple in this community and will be missed for years to come.
