Wooo Hooo!!!!

Yes...i fixed my Crazy Tach problem...i found frayed ignitor wires that were rubbing against the belt on the ac compressor (i don't know how they got taht far down but oh well)....thats why my tach went all crazy...i just fixed the wire that lead to the ignitor facing the fan and WALA....no more tach problem...However now that i got the tach problem out of the way...i still have hesitation on the highway around 50-ish (i took off my catalytic converter last night and it was clean ...no clog)...i wonder what else it could be.....all the hoses to the carb are connected...any ideas guys?

try the fuel filter... it can be the deciding factor between great running and poor running... like trying to show a ricer that he's all show and no go but only to have the fuel filter cause the car to sputter and lose power, which causes you to lose the 3 car lead ... gotta get that changed tomorrow. =)

Not that this really pertains to this completely, but i just started to have a crazy tach problem. I adjusted my timing and the car started smoking more than it does "normally" and the tach got all weird and my voltage goes up to around 15 when revving.

Also I put my timing back to where its supposed to be, at least for now. I know what the smoking problem is. intake O-rings
