Yes.

Things I have had in my RX-7s:

Transmission, driveshaft, and complete rear subframe wheel to wheel including rearend assembly from my Subaru

Engine case, engine internals (boxed separately), transmission, radiator, oil cooler, engine accessories, from my '80 RX-7.

500+lb of scrap iron, mainly drums and brake rotors (several occasions)

'90 5.0 engine block (strapped down to keep it from rolling around)

'88 FC transmission (same)

'88 FC N/A engine block

One big by huge industrial A/C unit. This one was fun because it required the hatch to be open, but I had to stop off at a hardware store on the way back from picking the unit up at the A/C shop. The unit *barely* fit between the floor and the roof, and between the sides of the hatch, and the hatch had to be about a foot open (held securely down by the good ol' cargo straps). After a minute of thinking, I flipped both seats all the way forwards and shoved the box in far enough that the hatch could shut. But hey, it sure beats driving my boss's truck.

One roughly 5' by 3' by 2' toolbox in the hatch, with all of the drawers (still full of tools) under the box and in the passenger seat area

Right now I have a couple rear springs from a '69 Camaro rattling around back there.

2 golf club bags will be no problem, there'd be no need for more than that, if you think about it.

Tried to put my ex wife, but cops saw through the hatch glass and she was trying to poke holes in the bag for air. Shovel and rope fit nicely too.
