Exclamation Rotorfest 2004 + Camping!!!

This thread was inspired by the following thread...

How many FB guys going to Rotorfest in June?

Basically for those of us going to Rotorfest 2004, there are camping grounds 10 minutes away with shower and bathroom facilities. I wanted to see how many of us are interested in pitching our tents up for that weekend.

No cabins are available unfortunately but....

- camping with tents is available
- shower and bathroom facilities are available
- its only 10 minutes from the Rotorfest 2004 meet
- its all free and can be canceled with no issues if it rains

Those interested please post...its been a LONG TIME since i last went camping...any ideas or lists of things to bring would be helpful...

I'd like to know...would you guys want to start the camping on Friday night? or Saturday?

I'll have a map available soon to find the camp grounds closest to the showers and bathroom facilities.

Maybe this can be a sticky (inittab...you listening?)

I'm in for 2!

I've got a lot of gear. (only limit is what the Rx-7 can haul ).

If the weekend is nice you could just sleep under the stars or under a tarp. Saves from bringing a tent. However-I know I can fit Big Bertha (sleeps 4-5 comfortably) if we want a good sized tent.

I keep a box with all my kitchen and general camping supplies all packed. Stove, lanterns, utensils, pots, pans, coffee, sugar, cream, salt, spices, soap, tp, papertowels etc..) I know that will fit in the car so I can bring that. Basically- I have just about everydamn thing needed for comfy camping. If anyone is in need of something let me know.

I have another 2 person tent (hiking tent) that I could squeeze in if someone needs it.

Basically everyone needs a sleeping bag or bedroll, clothes and food and possibly a tent. I can pretty much bring everything else if needed. On the food part- I would rather pick-up food there or pitch in and have someone else close by pick it up (coolers take a lot of space in the Rx-7..)

Hell- I could bring my truck and trailer the Rx-7, but that would be a waste of gas (but I could haul up all the spilt wood we would need for a good bonfire ).

Damn, I'd love to go, but I seriously doubt I'll have any extra $ for a while once my car is back on the road.

I think otaku said he was gonna come with his dad. I guess I'm in, I hate camping but I'll never hear the end of it If I don't come.

Do we each need to call the campground seperately to reserve a spot?

I am in with the 83LE and my dad will probably join us even though he will be in his 90 GTUs and not his 85 SE. I have a tent and bags and all and my dad has a nice lil grill he can bring. I will help w/ as much eq as I can.

Don't have to bring too much (take a look at my post).
Big Bertha (my old tent) can sleep like 6 on the floor. (It's a good, solid tent). I'll bring it and set it up. However- if the weather is nice I'll probobally just sleep under the stars.

I'm sleeping under the stars too, so I guess all I need is cloths and something to sleep on. I should just sleep in the car....

as I stated earlier I don't like camping, the only reason I'm going is to chill with first gen guys.
