I'm having a map of the camp grounds faxed to me and i will scan it and post it here...so those of you going...watch this post...

If we can't have catfish, then burgers, dawgs, beans and beer is great by me.

I'm in.
I want you all to know that I'm passing up ten days in Hatteras fishing off the shore for flounder @ 5 am and lounging on the beach after my beer-batter breakfasts every day for this!!!

(...acctually I got so much work to do, I'm lucky to steal away for this. The wife & baby are going to NC with my folks.)

Extra tent will be thrown in the car..
As far as food goes- I'm game for anything. And speaking of game- I've got homemade sausage, both pork and venison as well as lots of various cuts of meat in the freezer. However- lugging a lot of food will take up serious space in the RX7.

I'm open for whatever.. Burgers and beans or roasted pork loin and fixings. If we have a decent size group of people, maybe we could just settle on a menu and divide up the shopping list. However you guys wanna eat is fine by me. I can always make room for some good food

Here is the fee schedule for the camping...I would think we would qualify for the group camping...I'll confirm that today...

I now have the maps but they are poor quality because it was faxed over...I'm trying to find a way to get a hold of them soon to post where...

Questions needing to be answered:

1. I'll need contact info from those going...please PM it to me. Cell and email

2. Since its just an overnight thing I was thinking of keeping the food / drinks issue simple...Burgers, hotdogs, chips and soda (i'm checking if beer is allowed) let me know what you guys think...

3. Being that we are only staying 1 night, we might not be able to get the best of all campsites...while the one we are getting should be nice...it might not be as convenient as the others like, showers or toilets might be a quick walk or drive...(no biggie since its only 1 night anyways...)

Okay people...here is some more info...

I actually got to reserve a spot...the site can hold upto 50 people...I paid $50 to reserve it...so I'm hoping you guys would be able to split that cost with me...the more people the less each of us will pay...unfortunately...no more than 50 people though...inwhich i doubt we'll get close to that...

Restrooms are very close by and showers are across a road at another campsite near by.

Campfires are allow and a grill is already in place for that.

NO ALCOHOL...sorry...

No pets either...they might be mauled by the bears

No Achohol? That's just downright un-American to go camping and not have libations at hand! We'll have to bribe the ranger.

Anyway- I'll pitch in for the sidte- no prob.

Sterling- Yup- all the venison sausage and salami is home made. Even have fresh (frozen) pork breakfast sausage too.
Really we are only concerned about what, a dinner and maybe a breakfast?

What about BBQ chicken for dinner? That's not hard to fix and we can buy chicken for cheap (and it goes great with beverages contained in sport bottles ).
Corn on the cob and maybe some baked beans or some potato salad and a cool watermelon for desert? Standard summer camping fare right there...

We can do eggs and sausage in the a.m. or everyone can bring their own (like a granola bar or somethin).

Bizzaro- sent you a p.m.

You know i'm in so I'll spare you the pm, we're still meeting at my house first I'm assuming right? Do you think we should make a new thread about this? Sometimes when people see the old thread pop up they ignore it. Just a thought. And like he said, what time is everyone gonna start showing up?

Me and my pal planned to leave around 6-7a.m. Saturday morn. That would put us there around lunch time.
Let me know what time everyone plans to get there so we can adjust if necessary.

Are we going to bother doing breakfast in the AM at the site, or should we hit somewhere on the way?
(I'm gauging interest because I may volunteer to make breakfast, but I'm not wasting my time carting eggs and sauge around if everyone's just gonna hit the diner, knowaddamean?)

Also, you have an address for the campgrounds?
The Fairgrounds is only 100 miles from me, so I'll be at the campsite early.
