Returnless FPR to return

Does anyone know how to convert from a returnless FPR to a return style? I know ill need to install another Hard line to the tank for the FPR but idk how to hook up the FPR as a return style. Thanks

You need an FPR thats a return FPR or you need a double connection on the
carb and use a restrictor in the return line so the carb sees pressure. You'll
have to put a guage at the carb to dial in the FPR versus the restrictor to get
the pressure right where you want it.

Hmm. A lill confused by this. So run Two lines off the return from the carb. Run a second restricter, And get another FP Dial and dial that in...

This is for your GSL-SE pump setup, correct? Why not run a good return style regulator and be done with it? It has been done by quite a few others on here with success.

Without the return, your FPR may have a hard time dropping the pressure far enough and holding it steady.

Yeah, the right way to do it is to use a return-style FPR and block off the return line on the carb if it has one. I recommend the Mallory 4309 because it works, it's the right pressure range for most carb setups, and it's cheap.

Install another return line to the tank? Did you remove the stock one? You don't give the specs on what you're working with, please provide those. Carb/FI, pump size, engine, model year, etc.....

Ignore the diagram above, it's not a good way to do that.

You can modify a cheap Holley regulator to be a return type. Here's is the best write up I've found on doing it. I did it to one and can hold pressure at 4.5psi for a Weber IDA with a EFI pump.

Which FPR exactly do you have? If you're going turbo you absolutely need something like a Mallory 4309 or similar.
