Rebuild questions

Ok, time for a rebuild. But I want to know what you would do if you were getting a rebuild.

I was thinking a streetport with 3mm apex seals. (Did the GSL-SE motor come with 3mm's?)

Want to keep FI and can not afford turbo so what else is left?
Thanks for the help. Gonna get with Adkins and Pineapple to get quotes.

All engines '74-85 had 3mm seals.

They suck. Get a later 13B rotating assembly so you can run the 2mm seals.

Ok, to answer one question,

Yes, I want as much power out of the motor that I can get but also want it to be driveable and get the mileage I got out of this motor (174k) so I was staying away from a bridge port.

I hear two different things about the 3mm seals.
Did the 13b 6port 84-85 motor come with them factory?
If not is the 3mm upgrade not worth it?

My motor ran great witht he racing beat streetport full exhaust on it but one day I was running a honda a lost a apex seal so i parked it.
I have the streetport exhaust, block off plate, dual pully, and a k&n style intake.
Soon will be doing the throttle body modifcation.

Other mods done or waiting

I forgot,

In the garage I have waiting to go on is a MSD 6A set up with two blaster coils, a electric fan, and a lower thermostat.

Have on the car RB front and rear swaybars, tokico blues, eibach springs, and a tri strut bar.

To be honest m8, I'd go turbo. But if you can't afford it, then go a large street port and just get bigger injectors. An aftermarket ecu would be the go as well. Hell why not just chuck a turbo on there while your at it :P
