Took it for a spin today. It's LOUD! No wastegate and nothing past the downpipe = bleeding ears at 2500rpm.

I forgot to turn on decel fuel cut and had raw fuel pooled on the back of the motor behind the wastegate flange after a short trip. (oops)

Needs some more brake work, not stopping as well as it should.

You can see from the pics I've just about completed the SA body panel swap. I like it better than the GSL-SE plastic parts, and it'll be easier to paint. Check out the IMSA lip!

I call it a GSL-SA

The airdam was designed to fit the SA front end, so once everything was converted it just bolted on to the apron and fenders more or less. The SA body panels and bumper bolted on to the FB with no modification.

Duck,

Glad to see you got it running! Did you use the REW CAS or your prior TII one? I am debating which one to use on my setup but since I don't have my engine yet, I don't know the difference between the two or if the Haltech will mate better with one or the other.

Looks great man! I especially like the SA front.

Used the TII CAS. Honestly, it's not bad but you need some RPM to get a clean signal. If the battery is low on charge, sometimes I have trouble getting it to crank fast enough to work. If you have access to the stock REW sensor and wheel I would use that.

Thanks! Once it's gets a coat of paint it should look much better.

I thought as much. I have used TII CAS's but have never had any experience with the REW's.

I also saw your TPS bracket in the Haltech forum. I will probably use your flange design. It looks effective and easy to make. I would also like to thank you for sharing your idea's to your fellow forum members. It's much appreciated.

Anxious to see that beast painted.........it's not going to be silver is it....LOL.

very intriguing choice. i've never heard of someone going from FB body panels to SA, but strangely enough, i like it. you pulled it off - even without paint. nice job.

It's up at Ludwigs right now getting some finishing touches underhood. Go up and take a look if you'd like. It's not very appealing looking from the outside tho.

I'm going to fibreglass the holes in the bumper and most of the holes for the badges. I think I found a driver's side door to replace the dented one I have and I still need to get the SA rear bumper on the car as well as some decent taillights. Walter will get it shortly, but I may have him just do the prep work. I'd like to spray it in the new shop!

Thanks everyone for the comments. It's a blast to drive, although the decibels are bit much right now. I'll post a video once it's completely broken in and I can do some pulls in it.

Inspiration came from Maguire. Look up his orange SA, it's HOT.

Alright sounds like a deal. I got all the -SE stuff in a box at the garage. Just let me know when and we'll make the swap.

Boosted a bit over this past weekend. Just 5 psi or so. It built boost fast! 20% throttle in 3rd gear around 3000 rpm had the car out of vacuum and ready to pull.

Crappy cellphone video of it idling
