Well it's either the block or the turbo, unless you really did use ALOT of oil when you rebuilt the engine, and I guess it's too early to check the plugs to see if they are oily, because of the oil used to rebuild the engine...

Oh, it hasn't even started yet? Man, I wouldn't worry it about. Did you see my startup vid? I literally had fluid pouring out of my exhaust just because it was too rich. It looked oily but it was fuel.

With your situation, I wouldn't worry about it. To do what you're saying, the oil system would need to get up to pressure first in which yours isn't doing (I beleive). Get it fired up and tuned. You'll be happy

You gotta run all the crap out of the motor first

Fired it up for the first time this afternoon. Had it cranking and catching all day and the problem ended up being the map. Garage filled with smoke with the car running for about 10 seconds lol. Need to get this thing on the road now. Next summer its going to be on the street for sure!!!

Haven't had a chance to have the car running again yet. Need to take it out where I can let the engine run without having the police called.

But in the mean time i'm trying to get some other goodies for me to install over the winter. I've been searching for seats for a bit and finally picked up a pair. These are recaro speed seats that has been reupolstered, black leather with grey suede inserts. The 4 point harness slots have been removed, but I don't plan on running harnesses anyways. Going to try running CG locks to see how they work for me.

My summit racing order has also shipped out which has a bunch of fittings I need. A hurst brake line lock and some other goodies. Running out of things I need to buy, would like to get some padding for the roll bar. But there is an end in site .

Also purchased a fire extinuisher, you never know and it's better to be safe than sorry. Just need to mount it better at some point.

Just waiting on the grannies speed shop 8.8" rear end with 4.3 gears, etc etc. Ordering the microtech at the start of next month, also Trochoid and dj55b are working on my pullies, fuel tank, and i'm getting your old aluminum radiator. Front tires are supposed to arrive any day here...
What size rims and tires are you running? Looks similar to my setup. I'm running 16x11 CCW's with a 5.5" back space.

Yours is going to be one wicked looking, brutally fast and awesome cornering vehicle.
Once you get it sorted out and purring what do you plan to build next?

What size tires are you going to run? Need something fairly low profile with 17's. My tires are only 23.5 O.D. and I still have a few issues with the top of the tire rubbing the front frame rail. Only under extreme bump and steer though.

Front tires are 255/40/17, and the rears are 315/35/17. We will see if I have any rubbing issues when it's on the road, the front seems fine now but you never know until you really test it like you said.

Fronts are CCW classic 17x10 - 4.5" backspacing
Rears are CCW classic 17x12 - 4" backspacing

Seats have arrived now, can't wait to install them they are very comfertable, sit low and are pretty light. Also have my brake line lock kit, and rear brake lines all ready to be installed.

Running out of parts I need to buy, think I need to get some driveshaft bolts for the 8.8", and a couple other goodies.
