Couple new pictures from today. Dropped the gas tank again and ran larger wires to the fuel pumps, mounted the upper intake manifold for good, mounted the coolant reservoir, installed my belts, alternator. It's getting there...
The rear end still sits high I am going to have to get in touch with Grant at Granny's speed shop for some shorter springs.

Hopefully soon, it's getting so close... I would like to say I can have it fired up within a month but thing's can come up. I've pressured the fuel system up, and I have cranked the engine over a few times (with the microtech and other electronic components unhooked). Does anyone have a suggestion for building oil pressure? The biggest concern is getting the oil cooler and the oil lines pressured up/filled up, and the turbo journal getting sufficient oil for startup.
when I rebuilt my turbo on my volvo a few years ago Garrett's instruction were un hook the coil wire and crank the engine 4 times for 15 second periods . And then there would be enough oil in the turbo
getting pretty darn close ... Why did you have to resize your Fuel system though? I can't believe how much big you're already going already! What AN size are you using now?

There is an -8an feed to each fuel rail. Worst case scenario in my mind is the fuel is recirculated and heats up. But I have a fuel heat sink to help lower than risk.
The reasons for it: well it's overkill, but I don't have to redo everything if I want to run some more power in the future.

They are 175lb (IIRC) small dia springs from grannysspeedshop. Need to see if Grant can hook me up with something shorter.
Here is a new picture, got the downpipe today. (made by himni racing in flordia) 3" vband from the turbo, 4" downpipe, 02 bung 8" from the turbo (with a innovate motorsports HBX-1 heat bung), and a 3" vband outlet.

I do have oil pressure built up now, fuel pressure, and I cranked it and didn't get an RPM signal and I ran out of time (this was last weekend). Hopefully do a little more work this weekend, check the CAS wiring and go from there. Excited because it can be started up very shortly here...
Nice to see you in the final stages
.. i had a misshap with my engine ... needless to say it all apart, and being rebuilt right now. I had a 200cc difference between my injectors
, make sure you're injectors are good. (Damn Venom Injectors)

We'll have to get together for a coffee and discuss things Dan. Many things. I just popped my engine in my TII FB and I need someone to consult. I'd be willing to give you a hand in exchange for some advice.

Yikes Sam that sucks to hear about your engine I will have to double check them before I start it up. Things have been busy as usual for me so not much progress. Driving me crazy really this thing has been sitting for way too long.
I got my turbo blanket in and my heat wrap for the downpipe. Got those installed. Just need a free weekend to try and fire it up again. I also threw in a picture of the downpipe, beastly.
I apologize for a couple of the pictures being so blurry, I took the pictures quickly with my camera phone.

I can remember when you first started gathering up parts for this car. Your dedication to this build is awe inspiring to say the least. So much of your time and efforts have been put into this, and it is showing. It is really gorgeous all around. As Trochoid said, it is reaching Mona Lisa status for FB builds

Sigh more grief today... Decided to try and get it running, figured out my issue with no spark (had to install one more wire). Cranked it over, its firing but heres the issue, lots of oil coming out the downpipe (where the wastegate slot is, no wastegate installed yet). I'm guessing I have an oil control ring problem on my hands which is really lame news at this point.
I did use a fair amount of oil when rebuilding the motor but I doubt this is what I am seeing at this point. It's a steady drip.
